Can anyone tell by the stamped numbers on the block?
On the pad behind the alternator it says "RB26 026864A"
Any help would be appreciated.

Block number should be part of part number on sticker that's located on stock ECU casing (engine, ECU are matched). Going by ECU part number you can tell the rough years both were made.
If that fails, enter block number in Nissan's Fast program (ask at Nissan dealership that sells Skylines).RESPONSE MONSTER
