  • New ECU, now 4wd light comes on first start of day.

    Haltech Platinum Pro ECU

there was no codes on my ETS before but now I get a code 21 (throttle sense). I get a 4wd light on the first start of the day but every other start in the day no code. When light comes on yes I get 2wd only. I have followed the manual to trouble shoot but everything checks out -

    replaced tps
    replaced ets
and wiring must be ok because the fault only comes on with the first start of the day. Turn engine off and restart many times after and no fault

Sooo to my question and what I am working on. In the Haltech manager software... in setup (F4)

TPS input I set to .5V no throttle (in the tuning software) and press throttle to floor and hit set and comes to 4.8V ish

The tps input filter recommends 5 I believe and have tried 0 to 8 and 21 code still pops up.

TPS output setting I just found which is the setting for signal out to the ETS in the trunk. I just set the filter to 10... I started once (cold start) and no code but this is nothing new its intermittent. Second start got code 21.

Soooooooooo I guess the main question would be has anyone know of someone that had 4WD issues after new ECU and what would be a safe setting for the TPS input filter and Output filter??

I've had this same issue for a couple years now, I also have a haltech but this was happening even with the stock ecu... I've always thought it was something to do with the fluid level, if I'm parked on Ramps where the front is higher it seems to happen more often,

I did bleed my attesa last year with fresh fluid. Might have gotten some air in but I was pretty careful. Maybe wouldnt hurt to try it again. I bleeded it well before the new ECU come to think of it and did some long trips without any issues but none the less may have to look into that one. Cheers

I was having similar issues with my OEM ECU and it got worse when I changed to Haltech.

I gave up and installed the full race attesa computer.

        Works flawlessly now!

I bled mine and i currently have a light on however after some google searches apparently theres a trick.
There is a plug near the ignition that you can either unplug or plug in(can't remember) that pulses the attesa pump for bleeding. When it pulses you open the bleed valve then shut it, it will work the air bubbles out. When its done you can pour your bled liquid back into the reservoir.

Ya its the white one or two wire plug behind the kick beside throttle peddle. Did all that and almost certain I did it right. Got nice clean fluid through out the system now. I thinkin the tps signal maybe a separate issue but will be something I look at again when the car is in the air for engine oil change spring time. Small note and maybe it was just my over thinking brain but after I did the bleed I feel the front tires hooked up faster... could been in my head tho lol

So does this eliminate the ETS in the trunk all together? I did alittle reading and uses its own G sensor and works off the tps signal alone. Where did you mount yours? did you have a tps fault aswell? or just other random faults in your ETS? Cheers I will b looking into this...

I was having fault issues with the TPS

I had it installed at Eurocharged....Is allows you eliminate a lot of the factory wiring and sensors.

Talk to Vlad or Stan at Eurocharged they will be able to explain further.

On the track the reaction time of the attesa is greatly improved.

I think it was on sale at the time for $599 USD

                Hope that helps
