well it couldnt be temp because i rock a 9 row oil cooler and i run 10w40 royal purple oil... the car did sit for over a year before it was started due to the latest bunch of work i did... so i will agree that an accusump would help in any situation its just a great product... before we jump to conclusions we should wait till Herman rips them apart... see what he has to say then i'll fill you guys in on what happened...

Would be interesting to see what he says. Just I had a similar turbo failure and it was oil temp related (I gather dried up oil / coking blocking the oil ways).
A w40 is said to be good to around 120 degrees C and 9 row oil cooler is a bit small for the hp the engine is producing.
More boost = more heat and need the cooling system to match.RESPONSE MONSTER

I know HKS modify their 25/30 turbo's using tricks of the trade (makes them unique, different to off the shelf Garrett turbo's which don't have those mods as standard). Most good turbo rebuilders know and use some of those tricks when rebuilding Garrett turbo's.Last edited by Skym; 03-26-2015, 07:46 PM.RESPONSE MONSTER

When installed I was told they had been installed with the proper oil restriction... now I'm not exactly sure what size restriction there needs to be and where said restrictor would be located... the oil lines are obviously aftermarket SS braided lines and where they connect to the block there is another piece in between the ss line and the Tee banjo bolt fitting on both sides... I have yet to take it apart but i did want to clean out all the lines and check everything... i have would guess it would be located there because I didnt see anything turbo side...
Also regarding boost pressures I think it was Kismetcaptain or a name similar on GTR.CO.UK that ran the same turbos at 30psi for quite some time with out issues (although he was running Toulene 50/50 mix with his fuel at the time if that matters), and if i remember correctly cause i havent looked at the turbo chart in a while 2bar was the peak of the efficiency, mostly blowin hot air after that... Im assuming the water meth helps a little in my situation aswell.

so ripped off the banjo Tee bolt that feeds both turbos with oil and yes they were restricted with an extra bit before the stainless lines and on the rear side the restrictor was blocked... blocked by 3 little balls of thin small metal... kinda looked like a fine thin strip that had been rolled up on itself... i took some pics im looking for my phone cable to post the pics... but man am I choked... i'm assuming that the metal was from when i blew up my motor after the first rebuild... but who knows... it was post filter so it came from inside somewhere... going to do a compression test before i fire the car back up...
is there a way to blow out the oil system or do i just hook everything up but the turbo oil lines and unplug the fuel pump fuse and while im doing the compression test blow out a bunch of oil from the turbo feed port on the side of the block... just to see if there is anymore crap in there...
