mabey just a list form loud to quiet thanks!
im with you, i have the SSQ, and i want something quiter..

Bezerk is running some greddy bov, and it sounds very quite and tastefull.

with an adapter, the Greddy type-RS can have a hose fitted to it.. you could just run the hose somewhere in your enginebay where its not going to be heard as much

does anyone know why the Blitz SBOV for the R32 GTR is priced so high? Does it include 2 or something?

              BUMP to old thread

Just picked up a pair of HKS SQV1's from Z-tuned (thanks Dave) and wondering how they will work if I just plug them in with my stock ecu. Was there ever any consensus here? Anyone running a smiliar setup? Any issues with stalling?

John are you going to run them Recirc or VTA?? I have upgraded to Forge units but kept them Recirc and had no issues. This may not be helpful but I ran an HKS SQV2 VTA on my mazdaspeed and had no problems with running parameters.

I'd run recirc simply because factory ECU is programmed to meter the air this way , if you run them open it will dump too much fuel in during shifting as it is delivering fuel it has already metered air for but the BOV dumps it into the atmosphere instead.

I have a HKS SSQ, but I think I also still have the factory bypass valve on the passenger side. Is it wise to block that off? It doesn't seem necessary to have both...

Yeah, running without BOV is of course a good option, but I have these here and I'm curious. I can always recirc, but not sure if I can do it without fabbing something up.Right now they will dump to atmosphere. I was hoping someone here as an oem ecu with similar BOV dumping air and can chime in on whether its going to ruin the driveability of the car.

If you install them, you will notice two things (i have a similar setup):

                          1. rich exhaust when letting off the gas
                          2. a tendency to stall when letting off

#2 only happens on the cold days (say under 10oC). Even under these extreme conditions, the idle will drop below 900 momentarily and jump back up. Mine never stalls. So, for me, its tolerable and worth it.

That said, in the long term, you will foul up the cat with frequent rich puffs.

OK, looks to me like unless I find a way to recirc this, there's no point in having them.

Look for a sales thread soon!

+1 for recirc...its just the correct way to do it

why sacrifice building it 'wrong' for a little extra ease of install?

I don't really understand the advantage of running VTA setups .
