same here, everyone i know goes their with there car.
i tried huskies 94 and it seemed to work worse than shell, most of my buddies think im dumb and gas is gas... but i sure can tell a difference at higher rpms.

I think there should be a sticky.

"if you have a mines ECU enter here!"

        post one:

throw that **** in the garbage and get a stock ECU.

So what do you guys suggest for all the SRT-4 and WRX guys running stage 3 mods? Both require 93+ octane, and they knock and ping on anything less. Toluene is already in our gas, whats wrong with a little higher %? Some NHRA cars in the 70's ran 84% Toluene with great results.

Kismet over in korea is running 98%, some lube stuff in every tank or it would be pure.

You don't want to pass 10% really without getting a proper tune for adding the toluene. The AFR it requires is different. Kind of like meth, you can't just switch between gas or meth, one needs double the volume of fuel.

10% is really all I plan on running anyways, just to be safe. That should bring me right up into the 95 range which is where I'd like to be. I don't really understand all the Mines bashing, they're great tunes as long as youre running the right fuel.

sounds to me like u have a very good reason to invest in a water/alcohol injection kit.. : ) u will be making many trips to lowes or home depot but well worth it. but like above u will def need a retune. emance may be able to help u out with that. but i would get a safc, alce kit, tune and enjoy.

                    is this thread still going?

you DON'T need anything more than 91. 94 is best, but 91 is JUST fine for a gts-t.

Zulu's GTR was tuned to almost 600whp on american **** gas 91 octane. If they guys at XS said it was fine.... it's fine.

                      I thought it was 520 on 91?

regardless people have made nearly 700 on pump 91 with a rb26, big turbo and 21 psi makes for big numbers.

And Falcon, American 91 is no different then Canadian 91

So all that talk about California having poor quality gas is not true?

no, 91 pon is 91 pon all over the world.

Gas ratings are standardized in 3 groups, ron, mon and pon depending on how they are tested. Cali is no worse off then anyone else.

thats right, but as you know octane rating isnt the only factor in what makes good gas. I cant pretend I know anything about Cali gas though.

I know. American gas is two steps above donky p1ss. Believe me, American 91 is about par with our 87. For anyone near the boarder I double dog dare you to try a spash of their 91 in a car tuned (and locked with no ability to adjust) for 89 and I guarantee you your motor will ping like a MOFO.

On paper it's supposed to be the same but in reallity it's not.

I ran 20% Xyleen in a 35 year old car with 35 year old hoses for 4 years and it didn't do squat to the rubber (even stored it over the winter that way). Didn't do anything to the new hoses either.
