its actually fun egging him on to see what he writes next lol. funny thing is that actionbstard doesn't get is end of the day i'm a business and have to stand behind what i sell lol. If i was selling junk like he says i am i would have been out of business long ago.

And after that last comment i'm wondering if he's Hulk Hogan undercover as actionbstard? What you say "brother" lmao

lmfao actionbstard makes me lol everytime i read his post's haha.

look at the guys build thread, he has money to spend on mad tyte JDM parts. theres an old saying, you get what you pay for. the product may look the same but the R&D product would preform better.

if your short on cash (like me) cut a few corners where you can. just make sure its not going to cost you your motor, or life.

        Where's his build thread???

About Tube n fin, bar n plate cores.

Tube N fin oilcoolers for autotrans work best for cooling. They cool so good that the auto trans oil / fluid struggles to get to operating temperature hence why they are put after factory oilcooler in bottom of radiator that heats up the fluid a bit during warmup. The only reason bar n plate is good, as it's better when on it's own, without stock oilcooler for autotrans.

So it depends on application. But in my opinion tube N fin core is better in a intercooler application for cooling and flow.

              Back on topic here.

seems like the original question was answered.

it's always nice to get different opinions on a subject, but it's even better when what you want to say is not always composed of agressivness and swearing.

You are the only one taking this serious.I really just got it as ajoke.Like every builder I know will take it.
Buying a good fmic will not affect his power goals but allow him to be prep for when he do decides to get some more serious hp.
check out treadstoneperformance fmics. They're with in the same price range and real good quality aluminum.Flow way better and proven stuff.
                        Thats about it.
everyone knows I'm kidding cupcake.Guess your the only one taking this china crap serious.
Maybe you should comment this to proven and well know shops.Maybe they will care to take china serious.lol.If theres one in canada?Or maybe some are way smarter then me and just decided to stay the fck out of this thread.Don't expect me to take this serious and look for serious answers. You told your opinion and I think its a fcking joke.So I laught So I keep replying since this was fun.Actually reading someone who actually loves china fmics make the want to read more and see how guys like you have pollute the minds of those who seek.My guess is that you either have a fked up mentality that you can be the best by making others use crap. Why?Because your a princess and they need attention.Well you sure got mines. But now this has gotten bored so I'm out.
Like I always said.Run your car not your mouth. We don't talk serious we prove it.We prove rbs can rev 11k on an N1 oil pump with reimax gears.Sure don't care about your china crap etc etc.

And the only princess i see here is you looking for attention with the amazingly bad gramar. Its like your proud of it or something? And as far a corrupting people i don't need to, i use everything i sell so if it works for me it will work for them no matter what you think you know.

Does anyone have a link to a good discussion (WITH FACTS) regarding that too big of an intercooler is a laggy solution. On my regular forum this used to be the consensus but now the consensus is that that is a load of crap, the guys defending that big intercoolers are fine are very reputable guys that have built some amazing stuff. So it's not just some kid talking out of his ass. Just looking for any info.

end of the day its going to depend on what turbo your running and how much power you want to make. For what this forum is about with a rb25 the biggest you want to go is a standard 3" Thick. By the time you go 5 " thick that whole cavity has such a large volume it takes way longer to pressurize before you get boost. Think of it like an air compressor. Bigger tank you have more time it takes to fill. You size per application

Im no scientist, but i think its pretty simple to see why a bigger intercooler while running stock turbo, or similar with a low boost setting will be laggier than a smaller stockish(gtr) one.

Im sure Skym can chime in here if he ever visits this part

But since the Intercooler is bigger, you need more air to fill it up. If it takes longer to fill the intercooler up, then it is taking the pressurerized air longer to reach the engine.

So from the moment you press on the accelerator, to the moment you feel the power, it will be laggy if the intercooler is to big for your setup.

There are so many different varietys of setups on this site by now that I'm sure you can find one similar to yours and see what intercooler they are running and see how it works for them.
