so before anyone says search, i have and theres nothing
I'm using an rb20 ecu and harness on my rb25 so at the moment i don't have the vct hooked up. From what I've read it advances the intake cam timing 20degress or something between 1050 - 4500 rpm, increasing low end torque and supposedly spooling the turbo quicker. so my question is; is it worth the $100 + wiring for rpm activated switch? like how much more low end torque will in it make with it turned on. Ideally if someone has 2 dyno graphs to compare that would be sweet.
just for reference I'm not using a stock turbo, its a holset hy35, the car is not tuned yet also so I'de like to get some more info on this so i can decide what to do before it gets on the dyno next week.
thanks in advance,
