  • Gts-t redux

So, I sold my old gts-t, and moved to China for a while. I've gone through 2 delicas and a bunch of other random JDM weirdmobiles and I've found myself back where I want to be, in a skyline. Car was quite obviously a drift car, I'll see how she runs, I may leave it as is and grab an rb25 to build over winter.

    Engine/Trans/driveline:
as far as I know, stock internal RB20, I know from my last one, you can wind the piss outta these and they're cheap to replace. so bonus there.
    Trust intake
    Trust V-Spl IC
    Trust 13 row oil cooler
    DMax ver2 Downpipe
    Exhaust, dual n1?
    Cusco LSD
    ORC 409D clutch

    Suspension/Footwork

HKS Hipermax (donno spring rates, could probably look it up)
    Adjustable RUCAs
    Super Now Tie rod ends
17x9 Work Emotion CR Kai +28 all around
advan neovas up front and Federal ss595's out back

    Interior/Electronics:

    Momo Deep cone wheel
    Zeta III drivers seat
    R32 GT-R passenger
    Blitz Dual SBC
    Defi Boost gauge
    Defi Digital display

Bought a few weeks back in Aichi, and will be shipped to Canada in mid July.

    How she sat in Aichi...

How she sits now, raised for shipping:

Dirrrrty, but I moonlight as a detailer/polisher, so hopefully I can bring her back from the dead.

Has some interesting bumper latches that I may or may not keep, Front fenders need to be replaced and rolled with something other than a sledgehammer? She needs some love, but is pretty nice nonetheless, anybody know where I can find a rear lip spoiler?

that looks liek a pretty solid car to start a build from. get a new front fender is all I would say. nice wheels, the look SICK on that car. and it comes with some nice goodies like the clutch/LSD.

there are SS595 on the rear so DEFINATLEY a drift car... but that's OK. RB20's are so tough and can handle it in stock form.

Thanks for the comments guys! I searched high and low with something with a parts spec like this that wasn't exorbitantly gaijin priced (cough auctions cough). The emotions definitely pop, I'm so happy, even with the wear and damage here and there. The car essentially was to replace my last one which I'd fallen in love with but sold to travel as I'd said, I'm definitely not new to the rb20 platform, and I'd done a fair bit of work to it and wanted something comparable or better RB25 turbo, front mount, kakimoto exh, cusco RS 2way and so on: Pics for reference : D (would've gone lower, but the coils weren't too adjustable):

BTW: I am literally chomping at the bit waiting for this to get here, I hear the vic guys meet at timmies in vic nowadays?

I picked the car up on weds, a few issues but no biggie. Surprise surprise though, the defi digi display, boost gauge, and blitz sbc R, were all stolen from their hiding spots, the only thing that made me let it go, is the hilarious fact that they went to the trouble of stealing the pile of **** audio amplifier that the owner had ever so tastefully installed beneath the passenger floormat. Saved me having to turf it, hope it went to a good home. On top of that, the clutch slave is on it's way out, so I spent a good while pumping the clutch while my best friend the wwl gate guy hummed, hawed, sighed and even ultimatumed me with a tow it or push it. Buuut, got it out on it's own steam and now it's home.

Exhaust is sinfully loud, but still deep toned and a true dual exhaust right after the downpipe. No Cats in sight

I got it home and repainted the front lip, machine polished with my trusty makita and a nice wool pad, went inside after I buffed off the wax and when I came back with the camera for pics it was pissing rain lol. Took off the bumper latches, painted them semigloss black and mounted them with Stainless allenhead bolts.

Couple randoms I took in all the mayhem...PS, Car will be tucking tire after inspection, almost did it today, but it started pissing rain again.

EXTREMELY jealous of your exhaust. I'll have to start searching for one. car looks good! Shitty deal with the electronics. Adam just locked everything in my glovebox, nothing stolen.

Yeah, I asked them to lock them in the glove box, but apparently that meant place them neatly in the center console so they're easier to steal: (. If only Defi sold their gauges without the senders for less money....yahoo JP here I come.

The exhaust is crazy, no idea on the manufacturer yet, but once I get it in the air to do the tranny I'll take some snaps.
