Is that an oem pump?
Make sure you open it up clean it and greases the gears with high qaulity lithium grease.
And put locktight on the back plate screws ive seen a couple RB oil pumps that blew because the screws randomly backed off the plate!

i was gonna put lock tight on my n1 pump before i put it in but i couldn't even get them out. i tried a ratchet with philips bit and a couple other methods. i assumed there was already lock tight on there and left it alone

did you buy it used? cause they just come torqued from factory.
usually pretty easy to remove ( thus why they fall apart lol)

So I finnaly downloaded and installed Nissan Fast SWEET! And the timing gear I need is only $21. The problem is they have been back-ordered for a year... Something about the factory's are in the fallout zone and they cant return to them yet to produce some much needed skyline parts Im going to make a post in the WTB ads I also dug up a few pics of my 2003 police interceptor winter beater. Its lots of fun and moves a lot faster then I thought for a 4000 pound ford with a 302 in it.
