Alright well this winter when I pickup my Vios 3 I'll be giving you a shout because not only do yours look sick, they're also directly benefiting an owner, and a drifter. WIN WIN

i know there isn't a lot of GTA drifters on here... but considering lapping is more than accepted at this event... I figured I'd post this up!

Its going to a be a huge turnout.... there is more preregistered people for this event, then ATTENDED most other events this year.

come out, even if its to watch/take some rides.

Somewhere in your blog it's mentioned you're converting to s-chassis front suspension. I have to ask why? modded, r32 gear nearly matches s13 for angle and beats it easily as far as dynamics/grip goes

the long and short of it is... s13 knuckles are readily available to me, i HATE the camber adjustment on r32 front suspension, and I can be lower on a larger wheel.

The design of mcphearson front suspension, essentially raises the car up as it reaches full lock. Therefore increasing rear rake (which helps with transitions), and as well as allows me to run the car lower, and still not rub fender while at full lock. The initial grip on turn-in on my r32, I'm extremely displeased with. On all my s-chassis's I've always run 3.8-4.1 degrees's of front camber, and have found that it allows me to flick significantly harder.

Better turn in, more camber, rear rake gains, cheaper knuckles/accessories, and .5 of a point for being different.

Those are the points I am happy to argue for.

the real reason I'm doing it is so my car looks cooler.

Well guys.... I just bought a 2 door for winter driving. Going to get it oil sprayed about 3 times, and wintermode it up. Roof rack and snowboard trips!

Regardless.... I drove shannonville on saturday. Best track day I've ever been to. We had a record turnout, and some of the most aggressive drifting ontario has ever had. Super happy with the way the car performed, and REALLY stoked on how well all the Union boys drove! There is a bunch of pictures on the blog, but here is a couple from the weekend.

Keep me up to date with this suspension modification.. I've been reading on this and wanted to do it for a long time now. Hate having to raise the front of my car cause it's rubbing like a mofo when full lock. All you really need is, parts from S13 and drill 3 more holes right ?

Basically. I probably will end up welding the strut towers out of an s13 into my skyline. The bigger camber-plate hole, and stock looking boltholes appeals to me. I also was thinking about incorporating castor adjustment into it too.... but haven't gotten that part figured out.

Sold the motor out of the 4 door, so front end work begins next month. Tubs, notched wells, s13 suspension, knuckles, Union-spec steering rack modification, and roll center modified LCA's.

And now I have a 2 door daily! so my paint/kit/wild graphics scheme can begin on the 4 door. I'm 100% assured most of this forum will disagree with the styling.... except for Max.

                          haha.

Who wants to see an oem gts anymore..

I'm interested to see how you do this, I've always wondered how hard it would be to make these knuckles fit a 32. http://www.driftworks.com/shop/suspe...ster-hubs.html

Seems pretty cool, no change to roll center but 50 mm lower. Are these similar to what you'd be using?

                                Thanks Max.

You better make it out to an ontario event next summer!

Or maybe I'll make the trek out there.

Either way.... we need bn tandems.
