You guys need to set up an RSPCS (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Skylines) and take a baseball bat to the heads of owners that bring disrespect to the heritage by being metrosexual knob jockeys behind the steering wheel.
UPDATE!!!
So i finally got this slut running pretty decent.
Took it for a very short drive around the block today.
Didnt get outta second or redline or anything too crazy fun buuuut,
i did hit 16.5 PSI :P Hit it damn hard too. Bottom end wasnt really there
a whole lot but boost was . Stopped though to turn down my tru boost lol
wasnt expecting that didnt wanna do damage. Didnt get to take it fer another run though it started acting up, hard starting and didnt wanna stay running and idling up and down then dying.
Before i took it out i warmed it up for a while and noticed the idle got better and that my AFRs calmed down to about 12.5-13.0. A major improvement over the low 10 AFRs i usually see at idle.
I think ive pinpointed my problem to my IACV.
Hunting idle, rich at idle, idle screw doesnt do much.
Hope im right and that i can get it back on the road soon and boostin hard
without worries!!!
man! Good to hear you finally got it off the jackstands. Let me know when we're going for a cruise lol!

For sure!!! Forgot how small my damn car was lol its at stock height and im like
holy **** this thing is so low now HAHAHA.
When i get some time imma test my IACV and probably take it apart
and make sure its workin, also my coolant temp sensor could be wonky.
Well time to start drinkin lol damn car keepin my busy on Canada Day!!!
Happy Canada Day everyone! Party hard!
Nice 240 so far, engine bay looks clean, lots of work put in so far.
I've been running 16 psi on the stock turbo/internals for around a year, been fine as a daily driver. It's only hitting 16 psi at full throttle, which around the street, you don't hit too often, I find myself shifting around 5-8 psi around town but I have 16 psi available when I want it. I do expect to wear the turbo down faster, but I sorta also expect the power to be there when I want it. Stock snails go for $300-400 with no shaft play or less as well, cheap for a turbo.

Im aware. I avoided boost after i seen how high it was. That was the only time i drove the damn thing though. Its being slutty yet again. Im running outta ideas. This things got me an Kyle (DrMango) stumped. Swapped my IACV and Coolant Temp Sensor with his and didnt make a damn difference. Still way way too rich at idle. My car pretty much dies after seeing any throttle, then gets incredibly hard to start and needs throttle to stay running or else it dies.
Thanks Mfroese, its been a hell of a project...just wish itd cooperate a lil more with me! Good point about the turbo as well, ive seen RB20 turbos go for as little as $125 and RB25 turbos for not much more. Would almost be worth the extra bit of fun if your looking for an excuse to upgrade
Im completely stumped with our cars at the moment.
You should have heard the sound from my engine when I got home. Did a little drift in my entrance to my cresent and heard like a tool fall in my engine bay or engine maybe and then some reallllllly bad sounds like a socket boucing around inside. Shut the car off. Going to pull the plenum off first thing in the morning now.. ****

yeah it sounded like sometime slid inside the J pipe or something and then fell a little, went ting ting ting and then bad sounds...

UPDATE at last!
Got a different MAF. AFRs at idle are 11.5 cold and bout 12.5-13.0 after warmed up then
very close to 14.7 after really warmed up after a bit of driving.
Have random leaning out moments up top will shoot up to bout 16.0 even higher sometimes for a moment.
Dont have a tach atm so not entirely sure what RPM and such, also it doesnt feel like its revving
all the way. Ganna try changing the plugs and oil probly again and also get an SAFC.
Bad overheating issues as well. Dont have my gauges yet but white smoke coming from under the hood is sign enough id say.
Even with a mishimoto aluminum rad and dual 12" electric fans she still overheats.
Need to get a proper fix for my top rad hose...anyone know a good match or do anything that made it so there
top rad hose didnt kink and fit nice?
Also, my engine came with a brand new water pump but they must not have sealed it properly, because i can see
it bubbling out the to when the cars turned off, not when its idling oddly enough but its a bad sign nonetheless.
Probably will invest in some water wetter. Anyways its an improvement at last! I actually got to drive it decently
and she sounds absolutely amazing! Just got some fine tuning to do now
Found out my overheating problem.
LAWL the lil piece of hose connecting the hardlines under the plenum
was fuckin split wide open, explaining the overheating and the 30FT of coolant behind me.
Couldnt see anything wrong at first but while filling the rad back up i was able to find it.
Glad its an easy fix for once and its not just overheating for no good reason like i thought.
Although god damn do things ever get cookin under there...id be scared to go on a long trip lol.
I noticed that little bit of hose fails (crack down the middle) on alot of GTS Skylines. Good practice to replace all of the coolant hoses when engine is out of car.
