figured i would add pics of some of the innovations for records sake....
couldnt find a m12x1.25 to -4jic fitting anywhere on the planet! lol so this idea came to mind.... cut the old hardline and made our own banjo to -4jic

used one of the turbo drains and welded on a -10an for the oil drain to block....

    turbo collector

    vband for gate

i cant wait to see this manifold start taking heat..... its gonna turn all nice blue and purple
getting back at it this week so more progress will be posted as we go

finished the most badass fully custom true 3.5in turbo back exhaust today
Originally we had a muffler but its necked down to a 3in inlet and the inside was only 2.75in! so we tossed that and used a bottle style 3.5in resonator as my muffler

Vband Jethot 3.5in DP and once piece past the DP. Fitment is perfect with maximum ground clearance..... DP and gate dump will be heat wrapped in black DEI wrap

also welded in the truck mount battery tray and ran the cable back.... still have to cut the carpet around it

                    we're on the final stretch

taking today off, but yesterday we spent the day buttoning up some odds and ends. Capped off all extra vacuum ports, ran a vacuum line to the wastegate (heat wrapped), ran vacuum line for BOV, tacked together the wastegate dump tube, I spent a coupple hours doing the gauges and whatnot and cleaning up the interior and putting it back together, we also finished up the battery remote mount (cut the carpet and soldered up the connection under the hood), made a copper heat shelid for the wideband (near wg dump)

                      we're getting pretty close.......

today we started pushing the car in the garage to get back to work and we finally realized why its been so damn hard to push (thought it was rusted over rotors)..... as we're halfway into the garage i hear a clunk from the RF.... bam. my wheel bearing had fallen apart and half of it fell right out onto the floor! The front axles have been out for a while and i was actually going to put them back in today. I originally thought my bearings were bad cuz they were loose but its only because the design needs a preload (axle bolted in) to be tight. anywho all the pushing in and out and turning while the bearing was not preloaded ended in this. complete failure. luckily i had sourced one of the 2 bearings (usually take 10 weeks @ $175 each) i thought i needed and was able to fix it today but i spent the whole day doing this ******** in the muggy heat covered in grease and pissed off. but we did get the gate dump mocked up

finally got juice.....1st time she's had power in her viens in OVER a year!!!
checked all gauges work (powered up) all lights good, (sick LED taillights... sooo bright), Power FC is happy, scaled the injectors, picked MAFS (z32), and put in the injector latency correction, than we bled the ATESSA.
This was all last week. The next day we buttoned up alot of little things and i got my Z32 mafs plugs wired in, and got my -16 breather hoses on, heat wrapped the DP etc

Its down to the wire.... my buddy is fabbing up Intercooler pipes and a 90 off the turbo he also has to relocate my PS resevoir and also the PS pump inlet (pipes in the way)
I have a GReddy y pipe for the inlet with 2 mafs that also needs modification to clear the ps pump (the big banjo in the rear since the turbo sits so low)
than we will kick it on and set fuel pressure, time it, load a base map and bleed the PS and coolant and than go break in the rings and change the oil and do it again, after about 500 miles or so im going to switch to MOTUL 5w40
anyways, i dont have any more time left with the car really since i started a new job this week (that is TOTALLY AWESOME might i add) and all thats left is fab work for my friend so the next update will be big

                      wrenching at my new job

update.... IC piping is done and its BOSS
planned on starting it today but got too busy, we hooked up all the PS lines, and relocated the resevior and modified the pump inlet, welded on the BOV flange (gonna sit right behind the drivers side window in the bumper, looks sick), clearcoated the pipes, took off the timing cover, and did a ton of little things here and there. I pulled the fuel pump basket so we can drain the old gas tomorrow. my clutch pedal feels off too so we were gonna try to bleed but the bleeder said **** you.... i covered it in ZEP and im gonna give it a try in the AM

so tomorrow we just have to bolt up the IC piping/bov, heat wrap the gate dump tube and install, suction out the opld gas and fill, bolt-in the mafs/pipe, bleed the slave, install front bumper, set static fuel pressue, rehang exhuast and cut rear bumper some, and then just scale the injectors and mafs in the power fc and fire it up. from there we will set base timing and bed in the cams at 1500rpm while checking for leaks and bleeding coolant/power steering and we can take it out to bed the rings on a base map and tune on the fly.

tomorrow is gonna be a good day..... im so nervous!

                      my buddy greg doing work........

Didnt get it started today..... pretty close tho.... i wont be there for the start tomorrow as i have to work the rest of the week. So ill be eagerly awaiting a phone call.

Still gotta drain the gas and fill fresh, torque wheels (rotate), set fuel pressure, load base map/scale injectors, clutch rod adjustment, than do all the starting goodies like timing, bleeding coolant/ps, check oil and breakin rings.

today got it mostly buttoned up. IC pipes are on, intake/mafs are on, bled clutch slave/mc, bumper and corners on, rehung exhuast, wrapped gate dump and tightened it all up perfectly, and of course the little odds and ends

                      OH Hai TIAL

Took the car out for its debut last night to a local cruise night

got about 900km's on new motor..... drove it on a cruise today about 200 miles and it drove great..... threw some more timing into it and it feels pretty good.. still have about 3 degrees of timing out of the base map and knock counts stayed below 40 (except once it hit 59 when it was cold) i actually added 1 degree over base the other day and it pulled pretty hard especially for 10psi which is pretty much below this turbos surgeline.... its practically doing nothing at 10psi lol

i finally got my atessa sorted out and its working great maybe needs another bleed.
clutch still needs another bleed.... feels funny but its very drivable
also the vband on the wastegate leaks until it heats up than it goes away..... very annoying.... its cuz after welding the vband we skimmed it on the belt sander to get rid of the warpage and took too much off..... i might crush it a piece of copper wehn my 15psi springs come for the gate (was uspposed to have them from the get go)
other than that it has a idle issue..... it doesn want to after being on the highway and stopping you gotta feather the gas, i think an adjustment on the TB stopper will solve that
shes pretty much ready for some aggressive tuning now
