    Big update!

    Big update!

1 last look at the bay before she comes out.

Now that the hoist is properly anchored, the engine can be removed.

noticed a few bent spots on the rails. Where I guess someone tried to jack it up?

Anyone know the best way to go about fixing these before I paint the car?
I would like to fix them because im picking up a set of Type-M skirts in a few days, and want them to fit properly.

Leaking slave cylinder previous owner warned me of, which is getting replaced

Final bits before the engine pull.

    Engine pulling time!

After some handy work I got her free.

Now with the engine out it was time to strip and clean the engine bay, from top to bottom for the new paint.

Stripped all of the components and hardware (except the car wiring loom, its a bitch )
Then pressure washed all of the gunk off.

got to sand the whole bay, because im on a budget

    finished sanding.

      My Trunk issues....
I had to deal with the god aweful r3rd tail light.

took to a angle grinder to the rivets.

      came off not to bad..

but due to the amount of holes that are on the trunk it needs to be patched and can no longer have a trunk spoiler because of its leaks.

The plan is to aquire a less leaky gtr trunk and paint it with the car.

      Up next:
      -paint prep
      -fender roll
      -engine rebuild

The engine only has 109xxxkm on it so I don't think it will require much.
The idea is to build a strong reliable engine, with future bolt on's in mind.(do the internal/important work now.

This is the parts list I have written up, tell me what you guys think?

Great thread! I look forward to more updates. That lift is exactly what I want for my future garage.

Just an fyi, in the updates from yesterday, all the pictures are tiny. It looks like something got messed up in the upload.

                  I just ordered this:

fitment is 100% and I know a couple people on this forum run them. They are a bit pricy but are way better than the plastic options out there.

Very interested in knowing how much it will cost to fix those window trims as I am hoping to get those done sometime soon. So far looks like it will be a great build. Subbed
