Can run a early Z32 ECU (can fit EPROM socket like R32 ECU and has VVT control) with repinning of ECU plug (or use adaptor loom and do the pin changes on adaptor loom plugs). Then fit Nistune to Z32 ECU with R33 RB25DET maps.

Similar to what was done on this N/A RB25DE powered R33 -

I am not 100% sure, but I am not sure that the Z32 ECU will run the S2 either.

Just modify your crossmember so that u can get one bolt in each side and you'll be good to go

Actually if using the rb20 ecu u will need the rb20 ignitor and coils. I had an issue that my ecu didn't like the rb25 s1 ignitor box.

If you want to run the R32 or Z32 ecu you would want to wire an igniter in from an S1, R32 or Z32.

I am going to use the s2 coil packs with built in igniter. Can i not use that igniter thats built in to them? I would like to know what i am going to do. I have a rb20 to s2 wiring harness so i think i will be using the rb25 s2 coil packs and no igniter

NVCS: It is the V-Tec for Nissan - basically variable valve timing for just the intake side. This was available only on the RB25 motors (DE and DET) series 1, 2, as well as Neo (R34). The Neo actually has NVCS on both intake and exhaust sides. NVCS controls the timing of the opening of the intake and/or exhaust valves by manipulating the movement of the cams. It is the one thing that allows an RB25 to make more power. Without NVCS, an RB25 is not as powerful.

It is not a question of having an auto crossmember, but of the holes under your car where the crossmember bolts up.

Interesting... mine works fine in my R33...

The RB25 ignitor is crap anyway...

soooo with the r33 rb25 powerfc you dont think the vvt will work? I wonder why not. The powerfc is meant to be a replacement programable ecu. I would imagine it would work, but if you dont think so please tell me why.

I also dont have the rb25 tranny yet as i want the series 2 transmission compared to the rb25 series 1 transmission. I have heard they are actually very different

I would say it will work with some rewiring. Won't be plug and play like in a 33... the 32 loom has no provision for VCT.

yes your right the trannies are very different. The s1 tranny is built like garbage like the rb20 tranny. It can take a bit more power but not that much. The series 2 tranny comes with the good, strong gtr internals. I fluked out and got my series 1 motor with a series 2 tranny lol

Remove R33 RB25DET cams with NVCS and fit R32 RB20DET cams + adjustable camgears. Then remove series 2 coilpacks, remove series 2 ignition module. Then run R32 RB20DET engine loom, etc + R32 RB20DET ignition module, R32 RB20DET coilpacks, etc, R32 RB20DET ECU with Nistune.
