ahhh i've elaborated slightly..
I'm actually kind of upset you posted that because for the last oh.. 4.5 hours ive been researching a car-puter build with a 7" double din display running windows xp..
I think i'll put something together cheap..
micro tower, intel atom with 2ghz ddr3 and a 40gb solid state.. Rig up an easy on/off on ignition with a dc-dc supply.. 7" display with all the driver software.. and Nistune
Oh and of course wifi and bluetooth.. then get more creative and run my amplifier via the soundcard through itunes.. fml..

I warm you: I wouldn't run audio from a carputer IT's really hard to tune and sound it right. I would stick with my deck
Need detailing done to your car? I'm open to travel to detail your car :
3.5 jack out from soundcard - 2 RCA spliter to 2x 2rca splitter = 4 channel out to amplifier.. Volume control is still controlled by PC!

I flipped through my turbo timer to the voltage setting and noticed when my rpms dipped at an idle, neutral or in gear, the voltage would drop to like 11.5-12.2ish range the lower the RPMs dipped. Could the problem really be as simple as just my battery is shot or would the voltage be dropping because the RPM is, not the other way around?
Turbo timer voltage can be 1 volt lower than at battery (checked this), as turbo timer takes it from ECU side. So 12.5-13.2ish range. Probably alternator, as runs off front of engine and gives voltage a boost above I think is 12 volts.
So my alternator might be going is a major possibility? That sort of makes sense since when my battery died even after a spirited 15 minute-20 minute drive it wasn't charged and the car wouldn't turn over again.
So using a multimeter I got these readings off the battery:
12.45 with car off
14.45 with car at idle
10.25-11.50ish (jumped around a lot) with head lights/stereo/AC on
Only way I could think of to test the alternator was like that, if there is a better way I'm all ears.
But going off that I kind of think it would be the alt. since now that I think about it the issue only really happens when I'm running a lot of electronics. I'll have to pay attention to the volt gauge on my Turbo timer for awhile to see if that is true and not just coincidental.
