soo, i was planning on just doing the block with oem head gasket and then rebuild the head another time and upgrade gasket..ive decided to stop beating around the bush and just gonna get it all done.
so ive done some research as to whats done when rebuilding an engines head and things needed are: regrinding the valve surface, regrinding of the cylinder head seats, new valve seals & valve guides,
and ill be doing a port, and polish too...why not right?
- Im wondering how do i know if i need new valves and/or springs? or should they just me changed for maintenance?
- the list i have above, is that stuff ALWAYS needed?
- and if i were to replace everything, is oem sufficiant or are upgrades needed?
- my block has oem internals with acl bearings and arp everytihng.
my goal now is to make the engine nice and solid, so when i have some extra money i can just drop some cams in and up the turbo.
