How to make my 3" exhaust QUIET

OK! so i just got pulled over again tonight! "too loud of exhaust"

SOOO my current setup is a straight 3" exhaust>3" straight "cherry bomb" > tip .. Does anyone think if i throw a silencer in the tip it will make a big difference in loudness of the exhaust? i just need to make it more quiet..or what should i do? any ideas? don't want to change to much! and I'm broke so it needs to be cheap !lol

Some people are saying put steel wool in your exhaust..but thats kind of ghetto.

Yes i said cherry Bomb its painted black and i put it in cuz i knew it wouldn't change the sound of my RB

The cherry bomb is probably your issue
I have a 4" stainless straight pipe and it's not THAT loud, but it's loud. And I have an HKS muffler which iMO is the best sound for nissans and subaru's

since you live in the middle of nowhere, Im fairly sure the cops know you by name, nevermind by your car. In order to make a noticeable difference, throw a cat in and lose the cherry bomb

cops dont no me by name...cars just extremely loud .. so i think im gunna take the cherry bomb out and run a fart can muffler my buddy has an ApexI one he is gunna give me..its bigger he said..but well prob make a silencer for it to make it less quiet..i dont like the look of the mufflers out the back but whatever!

I run with a 3" turbo back system with just a 3" muffler and resonator, sounds aggressive when mashing on it and actually pretty tame when cruising. Still gives that sweet RB sound as well.

i have a 4 inch straight pipe turbo back on a 67mm turbo. its loud as **** but i have yet to be pulled over. ive even it to amurica

lucky guy this is my 2nd time getting pulled over..the first i ran a 3" straight..so i put a straight through muffler on it..went to the cop shop..they approved it...this chick pulls me over last night (with the same setup that got approved by another cop) and she said there is no way and that i changed something back after i got it checked.which i didn't .. so now im looking for either a 3" resonator or muffler..I don't have a lot of experience with mufflers etc...if i put like a fart can muffler on it..will it be quieter then the basically straight pipe im running now??

Copy factory exhaust with size, placement of mufflers but with a few changes.

Cherry bomb where cat was to remove drone under front passenger seat, square muffler just infront rear wheels, big N1 style muffler (Hayame brand from Japan sounds nice).

That exhaust with RB20DET = 83.6DB and one of the nicest sounding exhaust's (get nice comments when driving by people walking on footpath). Max should be 95DB. Anything over 95DB is too loud.

Can carry a handheld DB tester with you and rev to around 3000rpm to prove that it's way below 95DB which should be the legal DB limit in most countries for a R32 -

we dont have a DB rating for cars in Canada .. i asked her then i looked at the HTA and its not stated

Just get a muffler if you're running straight pipe. You're technically missing a muffler, a resonator AND a cat?...that's why it's so damn loud.
