  • Installing Walbro fuel pump

Hey guys , going to be buying Walbro fuel pump part num:gss342 . My question is do I need a vehicle specific install kit? Or can I just use a universal install kit ? Also should I run Walbro ??

the recipt for my walbro 255 reads "set up kit 89-94 nissan 240sx(also fits 300zx, R32, R33)
it came with a specific kit. easy as f*ck to install, hope that helps and fuel pump should be decided on power goals no?
    Built R32 GTR, BW S362, 682awhp @ 28psi

ya but I didn't know if people recommended other pumps other than walbro, I can also get deatschwerks etc. So ok, I'll buy a Walbro 225lph and a 240sx install kit. 255lph is good for how much HP? want to make around 350whp

I've heard the Stock FPR is good for like 400-500hp is this true? I'm running the following

        also running 750cc Deatschwerks injectors

        Part #: wal gss342
        Manufacturer: Walbro
Description: Walbro 255lph High Pressure Fuel Pump *WARNING - GSS342*

        Part #: wal 400-766
        Manufacturer: Walbro
Description: Walbro fuel pump kit for 89-98 240SX

Yes the info you have is correct, I was over 500whp with the same pump (still running it) and the stock FPR. Iv upgraded fuel lines ,rail and FPR last year when I tuned with meth.

          *Im running 870cc Deatschwerks injectors

walbro is fine, just don't get knock-off then blame walbro for your shitty pump.

evilgtr has an RB26, but hey, that's just my common sense.

I deal with walbro directly, no knockoffs here.. And common sense because of his dp ?? Well many people run front end conversions

Also keep in mind, the new Deatschewerks pump is pretty legit! Good warranty and quieter than Walbro 255lph

dont forget to get an OEM gasket ever time you remove the sending unit.
Walbro works great. but becareful with the sending unit. mine disintigrated when it was removed. I ordered a new one from nissan
