    ok... well aacv plugged in and i unplugged maf and the idle jumped to 2000...

    aacv plugged in tps unplugged, did nothing

    i took maf part and it loooks like the one signal is broken off the peg inside... now not sure if it was that way before or it was me when i was unscrewing the connector piece and taking the housing off...

    im going to resolder that piece now...

    anything else i need to look at while im in the maf? there is no corrosion at all inside the maf.... so thats good... .

      Just make sure you reseal lid on MAF with high temp silicon sealent. You don't want dust, water getting in there.

      Bad solders are common inside MAF (on plug side), inside Engine ECU, inside HICAS ECU, behind speedo, behind aircon display.

      Ok, then it's not those that are causing the problem. Next thing would be remove air feed to IACV valve, plug hole in T fitting (hose that goes to AACV has a T fitting in it and hose of that Y fitting goes to IACV that's mounted on top of bottom half of intake plenum). Sometimes when faulty, engine can idle higher due to faulty IACV. It can be stuck due to oil deposits (clean it) or stuffed. IACV can be tested via putting on hot plate and add voltage to it via battery and see if it closes fully.

      Other thing to check would be circuit that raises idle rpm when steering is turned. I think is from ECU to steering rack. If faulty, might be causing the high idle.

      Only other thing is the idle rpm adjustment on side of ECU.

      It's obvious something is affecting ECU, but which one of the above, I don't know.
