  • Screamer or reroute through the exhaust?

What are everyone's opinions on this, I am getting my exhaust fabbed up this week and keep going back and fourth between screamer or not. I have always always wanted a screamer, but at the same time understand how they get gay and can be overpowering.

    Here's my set up:

    Thoughts would be appreciated.

            ...ANYWAYSSSSS....

Screamers sound pretty bad ass, but even with it routed back into the exhaust you will hear a difference when it opens up. I think its sick when you give it a little bit of boost at low, slow rolling throttle and hear it crack just a bit... oh baby

Depends, is it a dd or not?
If a dd (or even just a summer dd), it can get old quick. Yes it sounds effing awesome, but it's a huge attention magnet as well. Can never get onto it a little bit without alerting everyone in a multiple block raidus, passing people, etc.

Not to mention, it almost completely drowns out the sound of the rb.

I'm not giving anyone lip here, I just find that the general attitude of people on forums(not just car forums) to be tiring and its hard for me to not speak up. To me people nagging is more of "pollution" then someone asking a genuine question. I'll be sure not to double post. Anyways... Back on topic here, I'm building the car to be a fun street setup, something to take out when i want to go for a rip or when there's someone organized to go for a run. Practicality is not the number one priority. So I think what i'll do is get a screamer fabbed, and then when/if i get sick of it, i will get it re-plumbed into the exhaust. I am just looking for people with first hand experience. Thanks for the responses guys

So is your vote to reroute? or screamer?

If you are running a rb20 with stock turbo reroute, upgraded turbo then screamer. If your in boost all the time it would be a bit much. I like it on the bigger turbo setups cause you can control it with your pedal, but its not going of trying to exit the parking lot.

Good call. The turbo I'm using is rated at 600hp, it's not huge but definetly miiiiles bigger than stock. Ill be going the screamer route!

What is boost are you going to run daily and turbo size should be your deciding factors.
