  • r33 GTR cluster into R33 GTS-T , tach is off

anyone know why this would be? my tach reads 1000 rpms higher than my gts did

so if i'm at idle, it's sitting at 2000 rpms, now it's not such a huge deal but I'm just wondering why this might be,, I know we used the servo out of the gts-t cluster cuz the one for the GT-R wasn't working so we just took the GTR face off and put it on the GTS one...

like i said not really a big deal just wondering if it's a quick fix if not i'll just leave it,, just more of an annoyance than anything'

    thanks

Can happen if rpm needle is put back incorrectly (if replaced face). I would think adjusting rpm needle 1000rpm lower = problem solved.

It's something someone who had this problem in the past told me he did, but was on a R32 from memory. Or could get a rpm corrector kit from Jaycar or similar car electronic store (I know Jaycar sell a speedo corrector for when changing rims, diffhead ratio, etc, not sure about rpm).

For example of what they use to correct speedo -

thanks for the reply, it's really not that big of an issue, I'm just 1000 rpm more than I should be, I just gotta adjust my brain

yea but when I put the needle on there was like a stop thing at the bottom a little line, so I think there is only one way to put it on, or I could be wrong wh
