Has anybody had this before?
Every couple of weeks the ECU will go into a kind of limp mode where it will drive and rev smoothly but make no power. A normal amount of boost is being shown on the gauge so I think it retards the timing.
If I disconnect the battery and touch the terminals together to reset the ECU the fault goes away and comes back in a week or two.
I run 94 octane, the fuel/ air filter/ spark plugs are all new
The ignition coils are all OEM new, OEM new air flow meter, OEM new throttle position sensor. Have checked fuel pressure at idle and also while driving all OK.
No fault codes. Have swapped out crank angle sensor and ignitor. O2 sensor was replaced a year ago.
I have read online of many cars with the same problem but no solutions.
Thanks
