Installing new clutch on new motor

Hi guys,

Installing my new clutch on my new motor (Series 2) as I had Series 1 before. However when trying to install the pilot pushing I noticed something and I'm a little confused. I did a little bit of research and ppl were saying you need to remove that collar that's on the new motor (you'll see in pics) but how is this obtained? I heard it could be quite a pain in the ass, does anyone have any sure fire methods?

In the middle of the hole? Wet paper, I tried a trick I saw on youtube, needless to say didn't work. lol

any ideas, tried going at it with dremmel today but not much success. will try again tomorrow

High quality pilot bearing puller such as Snap-On is your best bet. Or you could use the pack the hole with grease and hitting something that just clears the hole with a hammer method, I am not a big fan of beating on end of crankshaft though.

The wet papertowel trick does work, I've done it a few times
Just gotta find something perfect size to hammer it in with

Beating on the end of crank Is not a good idea, thrust bearings don't like that....neither does you oil pump
