  • 245/45/17 rubbing help

what are you gts guys running for caster? I'm at 6 degrees and I just put 245/45zr17 - 17x9 +30 on my gts and it rubs when turning at the rear of the wheel well where the side skirt is.. wheel is definitely closer to the back in the wheel well. Any ideas?

Get a spacer and roll your fender? Or 235/45/17?

I'm having a similar issue now(18x8 +35 I do believe) I'm rubbing the plastic liner in the back and if I'm say driving up a slight grade on an angle, I'll rub the fender if turned. I'm gonna roll the fenders to stop the rub and may pull out the liner and rock guard the wheel-well.

That's right , roll won't help ...and I wouldn't advise taking the liner out Terry especially in your neck of the woods . Amnash your next best thing is a 35 profile tire.

You can also try adjustable tension rods but I wouldn't recommend going above 8deg caster

I'm running 245/35/19 with the proper factory offset and have no clearance issues at all. Then again, my car isn't slammed to the ground either, so that might be a big part of it.

Alloy Wheel & tyre fitment calculator - it calculates inset, poke, speedo error, tyre stretch and loads more.

try this web site to compare tire size, you have almost 1 inch more than stock diameter
