    seriosuly buddy the best way to add psi into your cylinders is to do a crazy swap, get rid of that POS RB and go buy yourself a KA24E, and then ask a shop to install it for you. INSTANT compression fix not to mention MAD power.
    why you misleading him. lol. ka24e is too slow.... sr20e is where its at. hehehe.

        you guys are stupid.

        obviously the motor he wants to swap in there would be the CA16E.

            Dont foreget electrical tape, any problem big or small can be resolved with electrical tape. To be honest I used 289 rolls of electrical tape and taped my head to my block not one problem yet !

              I will take the mature step here.

              the two main reasons why your compression is low, is either;

              1: piston ring failure(remove the engine, open it up, re-hone your cylinder bores and re-ring your pistons) Always recommended to replace all removed parts with NEW OEM or aftermarket.
              -weak rings can be fairly easy to diagnose:
              perform a dry compression test and label the readings for each cylinder, then perform a wet test ( put a small amount of engine oil into your spark plug hole {small meaning no more than an pop cap full} and see if your compression numbers significantly increase.. if so.. its your rings cause the oil will form a better seal when rings have gone bad)

              2: or your aluminum head being warped and needs to be decked replace your head gasket with a new one, preferably Metal head gasket and ARP head studs.
              - Normally accompanied by bubbles in your radiator, overheating, steam/white smoke out your tail pipe, or sweet smell of antifreeze in your exhaust gases.
              Fast isn't Fast enough

                ^ ya but why go through all that, when a simple ZC motor swap would be just as cost effective? I would just drop a ZC in the skyline and be done with it.

                      lol I didn't think someone would post a serious answer. Well, thanks for the ideas. I think it's my rings. I'll be doing the leakdown and wet compression test in a few weeks here before the engine comes out. It still drives fine and pulls hard. Hasn't felt any different in 20000km. Probably bought it with low compression. I'm not worried. My build is well supported and will be really reliable. Engine internals is all that left to choose really, aside from rims, some body parts and suspension bits. If the engine is not in good condition I may go with a nur, we'll see. Still undecided about stuff like where to get the rods crank and pistons from or the oil pump... ah well, still have time before april/may09
                      No build thread.
