$1000 for tickets....you scamp....lol.
Let me put this into perspective...
Just about every car show out there charges a min. of $20 with the exception of Revscene...and I mean a well organized full blown meet with consessions and various sponser booths. There is a cost to do a good show...and it has to be good for a sizable fee to be charged, so no serving burgers out of the back of a pickup. If there are food cart/trucks in the area (Kamloops is finally getting with the program on that) I'm sure they would love to make some money and get exposure...as an idea. The dyno time can still happen and personally I would love to have a crack at it to lay it all on the line....you can still do that for $80 on top of a paultry $15 entry fee.
I would definately make it all about the Sat portion of the meet...the Fri nite should be nothing more than a meet and greet for the travellers. Make a serious effort to get all of the locals out...I know there is a bunch of them and there should be no excuses. I wouldnt try and lay a smackdown show right off the hop, good shows take a while to build and your location and the fact that almost everyone in the west has heard of the Okanagan really helps.
