youve got to realize that 80% of the people that would be attending this are coming from way out of town... meaning vancouver, edmonton, calgary etc etc... therefore they need to pay a lot of gas, hotel, and other food..

No one said that they didnt want to meet in a large lot and meet and shoot the **** as you say...

Cancelling this is a mistake.

All everyone was saying that $30 for a BBQ is ALOT of money for a burger, pop and a bag of chips...

you can easily arrange a large MEET saturday afternoon/evening, and if you want get a bunch of stuff for the BBQ and sell at $5 for burger and pop... you will make your money back easily.

this isnt rocket science...

If you dont want to take this on... then i will plan something down in the GVRD for the guys local out here.

Ya I thought we all agreed on having this meet still, 5 dollars for a burger is fine, I'm sure people will purchase stickers aswell and you might get some people hopping on the dyno. A lot of us were looking foreward to the cruise out there and crusing the town Friday night.

I was even down at $30 a head. Not happy but still down. I will buy stickers, burgers, maybe even dyno time. But I thought the $5 burger and whatever charge for stickers etc was mutually accepted?

I'm still down. Else, I'm down to help plan whatever event replaces the Kelowna event.

I still really enjoyed last years skymeet.. I know I'm not the only one who had a blast on that drive. Depending on what happens with this I may still see if I can round up some locals who might be interested to hit Kelowna again but stay at my cabin on Okanagan Lake.
