  • Headlight bulbs for GTS-t

    Anyone have the part number for bulbs that fit in there?

    Maybe the Heliolite or Sylvania number?

    I have a blue and a normal headlight bulb, would like to put both same color so it looks less weird

    Depends which one you're talking about. Projector or non projector?

      Head lights are as follows.

      Fog light H3C

      GTR (Projector) Lowbeam H3C
      Highbeam H3
      Marker lights and signal lights are 194

      All but the H3C's are availble in North America

          you don't have H3Cs in america? wtf?

          if you want to fit regular H3 bulbs to an H3C socket all you have to do is solder the earth wire to the mount.

            Actually you don't even need to solder. I have Sylvania H3's in mine, and all I had to do was run a wire from the ground wire to the metal mount that the light bulb mounts to. It's really easy, and a pair of Sylvanias is about 50 bucks with warranty at Canadian Tire.

            Here's a link showing exactly what to do.

                I have tried this but because the bulb element sits in a different position in the housing the light output is not as good.
                The H3 is a shorter bulb and sits too far back in the housing.

                  true, the dimensions of an H3 is different and changes the light pattern of the headlight. but if you're not fussed too much, then its an alternative.

                      don't forget that if you go lower on your white light it might turn blue

                          H3 shouldn't be any shorter than an H3C, the only difference is the plug type. An H3C has a two prong adaptor, one for power, one for earth, while a normal H3 has a single prong for power and it earth's itself through the globe base to the headlight surround, which is grounded. There are 2 different ways you can modify an H3C car to take H3's if they are more available:

                          The second method is probably better if you can do it on an R32, as you only have to do it once and not to every bulb you ever put in there. I also know from experience it's a PITA to solder the wire to the bulb, it just doesn't want to stick.

                            There is actually alott of differences in the bulbs besides the wires.
                            here is a really crappy pic from my phone.
                            The element is different, the bulb itself is different.

                              4 bulbs go into the projectors:

                              1 = high beams ?
                              2 = low beam ?
                              3 = I have these as DRL's
                              4 = corner bulbs for flashers

                              so, are all these in need of H3 and H3C or are some of these other sizes ?
