  • What was it like?

So after just recently having driven a GTR for the first time ever, just thought I would throw it out there: Do you guys (and yes girls) remember what it was like or how you felt the first time you had finally driven Godzilla?

I personally stalled it right away, not going to lie :sick2: . Having driven other 4/5 speed cars before, the first thing that I noticed was how heavy of a clutch it had, and the engagement zone was SOOO small. But ill attribute it to the fact that it was a 6 puck clutch rated to 450 ft lbs . But I got it going right after that haha. All I can say is that...wow unlike anything Ive ever driven or experienced. The steering ratio was so tight, the whole car had this solid feel to it. And yes, the power of it all was crazy. I have an even bigger amount of respect for people that own 500+ HP GTRs. You dont really understand fully until you drive it and feel the numbers. But what was even better was how Nissan has made it so manageable and civilized on the road. But you can sense the whole time that there is this monster waiting to get loose...don't worry I didn't act like an idiot. One could go on forever about the smallest little details. But we don't have that kind of time or space now do we? Not to mention finally getting to drive the car Ive lived for like 6 years. The only other skyline I can compare to driving is a GTS...but your really cant. They're not even remotely in the same car universe as each other. The worst part about it...waking up the next day and know that it wasn't MY car that I could just go down stairs and drive. It truly is a piece of automotive art. I just want to say "Bravo Nissan" I dunno, just had to get it out of my system hahah.

First time i drove my GTR (test drive at this point) I stalled it 3 times in a row, Now before i get flamed on for this. It was a Triple plate with hp rating for 1200 hp, Anywho yeah i then bought it. The feel between the gtr and gts-t are very different i find the gts-t to be more the drivers car as the gtr has alot of assistance with the attessa system, BUTTT none the less the gtr is a piece of machinery i hope to own again once im solidified in a good work force.

First day I got my GTR was the first time I had ever seen one in person. As soon as I laid eyes on my girl I was sold, no doubt about it. Driving home in 401 rush hour traffic, being new to driving standard makes you learn fast. Never stalled it once but I had a pretty friendly clutch. Once I got onto the backroads closer to home is when I truly fell in love. It was easily the fastest car I had ever driven, so I respected it, but boy that feeling of having all that power on tap is euphoric. Actually euphoria is the only word that can come close to describing when I first got my GTR. Ahhh thats a day I wouldnt mind reliving.

i was with my mom cos she had to drive me to go pick it up, so we thought she would go for a quick drive with me to make sure I could drive stick ok. As soon as she left, i thought i'd punch it in first to see how much oomph it had... OHHHH YEAH SHE HAD OOMPH ALRIGHT I nearly shat myself. I'll never forget that moment

First time test driving an r32 GT-R:
            1st, 2nd, 3rd, Spun a bearing, came to a grinding halt.
            Decided NOT to buy it.

Went out and bought a Gts-t instead.

(The GT-R had impressive pull though, and felt nice prior to the breakage. I still haven't forgotten the feeling! )

nah he'll just swap over the bucket seat to the GTR.

when i first drove my car was also the same day i first saw one in person, like Bignate, actually come to think of it, it was the same guy and maybe in the same underground parking.... annnnnnnnyway

since it was november when i picked it up to trailer back up to Northern ontario. I only drove it around the underground parking which really doesn't give you a good sense of the car. The day i got it home it snowed and my car sat in the garage for 5 months. when i finally got to take it out the first time, well holy ****. the feeling when the car squats and wiggles as you accelerate is the best. also when you are really hard on the pedal and you shift into 5th and its still pulling hard. that i've never experienced before. I love it.

its even better when u score a mines 320kmph cluster so u actually know how fast your car can go.
