Ztune @ Pinks All Out - Kent Washington August 14th & 15th, 2009!
Hey guys & girls, I'm very excited to announce that after 4 months of discussions with Pinks, Andrew got himself accepted for the August 14th/15th Pinks All Out arm drop racing @ Pacific Raceways in Kent Washington! Out of over 900 cars that tried to register during the 30 minute registration opening, Andrew was one of the first called back for a spot!
Out of almost 500 cars in the event, Andrew will be the only RHD car in the event, which also makes him the only Skyline GT-R!
As a lot of you probably know, Andrew lives and breathes motorsports, whether it's drag, drift or street, and spends 90% of his time working on his cars as well as everyone elses!
Last year Andrew managed an 11.53 @ 123.9mph 1/4 mile at Mission on stock turbos and street tires, but of course he'll be making some changes for pinks Here's a video of one of his runs last year (he's in the near lane):
You might also remember that he and Jurie purposely blew up their engines on the dyno to demonstrate what detonation can do, so of course an engine re-build is under way in preperation for the event as well! I can't say too much about the build, but you guys probably know what to expect from Andrew & Ztune! I'm sure he'll be exceeding the 488AWHP he managed on stock turbos!
As the engine is being built, Andrew has also stripped the car inside and out, so expect to see some other changes as well! Here's a link from the dyno event:
This is Andrew's GT-R at the end of last summer...it should be back on the road in about a month and a half to start testing and tuning!
Of course all of us at Ztune will be helping Andrew out in any way we can in preparing for this event! But it's not just Ztune sponsoring Andrew! Ztune is the major canadian distributor for TOMEI, the Japanese engine specialists, and as such, TOMEI have signed up to help sponsor Andrew, and they also hope to attend the event in Kent as well! Stay tuned for more sponsor announcements!
We welcome you all to join us for the trip down to Kent! I'll start a cruise/event sign up thread closer to the date! I'll also be starting up a blog page for the event soon so that we can share all the details as the car is prepped and built, and of course, we'll see you all at Mission
