That would be an asset, but we also need local media attention.

I really hope it goes no further than the Quebec ban. If it does, I'll be very disappointed with the government. I'd better get the worth of my car, or be allowed to continue driving it. Otherwise, people will get hurt.

What are they basing this on? Sure, if there was some accidents involving rwd's, but how many of them were at fault... ?

If I can't get the cars I want from Japan, then I will go to US out of spite. Jeez, look at the airlines for example...they have put so many taxes and restrictions on air flight and travel that it has lost the US flight businesses over 26 billion just because people don't want to deal with it and therefore don't fly as much anymore. I'm already getting sick of the RHD fear the gov't has. I currently own 2 RHD's. I have owned 4 RHD's and hope to continue owning cool unique cars that are in great shape and are fun to drive.

People need to vote and be more proactive in their gov't. I think this was brought up before. GM's tanked because their car's suck, not because of importation of other products. Now we've paid billions to bail them out. Yyyeeeeah. Now, lets piss off more people and BAN RHD's! lol... Very frustrating.

              Whats "Dangerous" are
              1. Those electric mopeds that cannot keep up with normal traffic & impeeds traffic.
              2. People who keep gawking instead of keeping their eyes on the road.
              3. Ignorant people who have never left North America & think a RHD car this is a fad.
              4. Texting, applying makeup, combing hair, cell-phone, hanky-panky, DUI while driving
              5. RHD owners who refuse to stay in their lane.
              6. People who just are busybodies and cannot mind their own business

You have to be so much more careful here, there is a lot going on and the drivers here have to be sharp and alert at all times! Even on the highways. In Canada, driving is too relaxed and easy and that means people will pay attention to other stuff than the road. That's what needs to be fixed not getting rid of RHD.
Take this and add to it with : In BC there are many cases in the news of how new immigrants from the Philippines, the Orient and India have bought their licenses through driver training schools and never learned to drive correctly and still don’t. In addition, don’t give me any of that politically correct crap! The Facts are the Facts. No amount of wishful thinking or being politically correct will change the fact that there are a lot of foreigners and locals that shouldn’t have a driver’s license because they are straight up, INCOMPETANT.

What're they going to do? Charge us with driving the speed limit? Lol
If you’re smart you will go 5 or 10 Km under, as the speed limit is a maximum not a set speed and it will get more notice. It takes this kind of trouble making to get into the news (with helicopter coverage) to get recognition.

                        wow racist much?

im extremely insulted by your acusations saying that immigrants, especially from the philippines... are bad drivers... my GF of over 4 yrs is a landed immigrant who got her citizenship here... she is a great driver... her mother who is also a landed immigrant and got her citizenship is also an excellent driver as well as many other philippinos i know are all good drivers...

it doesnt matter where you are from there are good drivers and bad drivers... but singleing out certain cultures shows your true feelings for people of color, and your own education lvl...

white, black, yellow, red, green, blue,,, no matter what you are, you are still human, and anyone can be good, and anyone can be bad...

                        your statment is IGNORANT

i don't think he's saying they're bad drivers because they're philipinos but because they were never taught to drive properly and bought their liscence in a shiesty way...

MR666 has a valid point. Driving standards in other countries may be set lower than ours in Canada. It's not racism, it's common sense and facts. Don't be so blinded by your G/F being an immigrant.

To set all of this straight, immigrants in Canada should take the standardized tests, but have a say, 3 month grace period after arriving.

I truly agree and so do people I know in the area that run driver schools etc...Immigrants on average are harder to teach etc...

Again could be some obvious reasons- language and cultural barriers- they never grow up riding dirt bikes, bicycles, quads, snowmobiles etc... The second may not apply to downtown big city people- but those growing up in rural areas have the advantage of having toys to get experience on..

You are very INCOMPETANT Sir... Please Do not Mention any Races in these forums. Keep it to yourself. I am 22 years old with BC's Class 1 driver's license and i got it when i was 19(legal age for driving Commercial Trucks)
And i took my training through an Asian driving school as of today no accidents.. no tickets or suspensions. We don't need to hear FACTS like that and i wont mention which colour I am.
