It's not difficult to do at all.. It's just whether you're willing to spend, in excess of 1200$ in materials and parts to do it!.... Well, if you went with Defi's, that is. lol

If I was gonna do that, I'd just replace the defi's with electric autometer gauges. You don't get the ballin' colours or lol2fast2furious opening and closing sequences, but they're good gauges.

Prosportgauges makes sweeper gauges, they look very close to Defi's.. Thats what i'm running now.. I love them! Definitely worth it for a mod like this at the price they sell them for!

Defis aren't that expensive, same as any other meter such as HKS, Blitz etc.

The gauges themselves are pretty cheap but it's the control unit that gets pricey. According to the blog it says that he's using a heads up display unit for the speedo.

If you're going to do it, do it right... and get some logging while you're at it:

Now, the latest JDM tuning information can be obtained! At last, the very first world portal site dedicated to the JDM car tuning culture is here, JDM Option International.

but im not sure if it would work with my AEM EMS, should no?

Anything that can interface with an RS232 port on an ECU will read an AEM's outputs.

Don't know if that one does though. But really for less money you could get a proper, race proven dash. Or if you want something simple the Stack unit will do the same thing and still be cheaper. Unless you're hell bent on JDM awesomeness and don't care whether you can compare data easily with others (LOTS of people use AiM units, which is good for data comparison)

                              Stack units are amazing.
