I think I saved at least $200 buying from Tirerack.

If I remember right, where I checked in Calgary: approx $300 per tire, so $1200 for the set, plus tax.

Tirerack.com: $950 final Canadian cost, shipped to door.

    For Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's.

So far...really liking them, but I've only driven my car for 4 days or so on them.

I see that Discount tire direct now offer free shipping to Canada but do they do the brokerage for a small fee ($20) like tirerack?...Wait, I just checked tirerack and now they don't charge brokerage fee anymore! Go dollar go!

advans are great but spending that much money on tires I can never justify even though if i become a milionaire. I am a cheap bastard. I know couple a friends running s drives and they're great. Thsnkd for the advise though.

check out some of the drift shows also..there's always vendors and sponsors blowing out tires that they sell over the course of the weekend..there was a dude in my shop last summer who bought a set of 19"s yok advans for $800 at the toronto drift competition..

find whatever local business collects take-offs.
                                spend half an hour rummaging.
                                ?????
                                profit

I've got 2 full sets of near-new 245-40-17 pilot sports and one full set of potenza's.
that is 12 tires, all with years left, for 180$ all-in. impossible to beat that.
