I have to say though, if you can't buy a 10,000 GTR, you shouldn't buy a 40k+ GTR now lol.

I like the comments of collector240. The R34 is keeping its value in japan, similar to the NSX it hits a certain pricepoint and seems to plateau. I expect at some time it will meet the price of the R35 even.

Another phenomenon us that in japan there seems to be a resistance to the R35. There's a lot of nostalgia tied to the r34 as the last if the Skyline GTRs which is fluffing its value.

I would think that this is the same for the mr2, or the rx7 even. There is just something about the older models that people love....the new MR-S is blah, and the RX-8 was a pretty huge disaster, hence why they are dropping it.

I think not just japanese people, but all people, love the older models or last run of a model because the 35 is not actually a skyline. same goes for the mr2 and rx7.

Don't get me wrong, the GTR R35 is a sweet car, but in my opinion the R34 is way better, it's good looking it's got so much potential.

I dunno... As much as I respect the R35, there's other cars for the money that I'd get first. Like TerrH said, ZR1 would be kickass. I also have my eye on the 2011/2012 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. 800HP outta the box. Daddy rikes.

Other cars for the money ? Have you compared the price of a zr1 to a r35 ? There's a new one in Toronto close to you.. For $148,000 !!!! The 2010 R35 GT-R is $89,900 it doesn't matter how your math is that's Almost $60,000 !!! The
Mustang would be decent I guess it's personal preference. I can't drive to tim hortons without seeing 10 of them on the road and they all look the same.

Eh, ZR1 might be a bad comparison. I'd prefer the Super Snake over the ZR1 since I'm more of a 'Stang guy :P I do agree on the fact that they're EVERYWHERE... but you never see 800HP ones

I personally think the 34 gtrs will be 30k when landed. I plan to get one as soon as available. I will sacrifice whatever is needed along the way! I am willing to work 2 jobs if needed!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

20-30k for a GTS maybe, I think GTRs will be 50+ until the market is saturated like with what happened with the R32's. I paid well over double what guys pay now to have my GTS 5 years sooner (2006). Maybe in 2019 R34 GTRs will be 30k.

Doubtful - I'm going to say somewhere around $40 grand simply because there isn't going to be as much demand (as they aren't as affordable as R32's were). That said - with this recent hurricane/tsunami - who knows how many got wrecked which may drive up the price too.

IMO, r34s will be able to easily fetch 50+K. It is the ultimate fanboy tuner car. When people (general population) think skyline, thats what the think of, R34, skyline from Fast and the Furious. It will be bought by people who have lots of cash and i dont believe that many true enthusiasts (younger crowed, who is generally on forums) will be able to get one for a couple years. Good condition R33's are now going for around 20 Grand and they arnt the POPULAR Skyline (i personally love em) the General Population has been influenced to like by hollywood movies and even toys and models haha.
