I won't be driving one so I don't even think about when they will be coming in, but picking one up under 40 thousand will take at least until 2016 unless you hit up Gold Wing Motors.

Yeah they won't be that cheap. Less than 15K? You can hardly get a sorted R32 GT-R for that much..

I dont see it that way. The NSX is a good example. With Honda nuts, it shares a similar cult following as thr GTR and is priced at about the same. A clean one in Japan still sells for 30K. We have only ever sold one and it was about $35K landed (about 3 years ago) and have not had one inquiry since.

Its too much money for people to spend on a 15 year old car that will require a second bank account for maintenance. A few will sell but there will be less R34's in Canada than many people think. We will see a fraction of what we have in R32's and R33's.

Even years down the road, in 2016 lets say, the R34 will still hold a much higher resale than an R32 did at the same age.

But none the less they do exist ! anyways right now you can buy a R34 GTT FOB for around $4500-6500 US from Japan. The R34 GTR's are going for about $8500-10,000 US. By the time they get here they will be around $15,000-20,000 if not LESS.
Not a chance. At 10K that is about 1 million Yen. Only GTR you will find at that price will be an accident victim with no drivetrain haha. Starting bids on auction sites come in around those prices but reserve is never met there.

Well, I just logged onto the auctions. Right now, here are prices for R34 GTRs up for auction. Pricing is starting at:

                            3 980 000 Yen - 2002 Grade 5 - $52475.41 CAD

                            3 250 000 Yen - 2002 Grade 4.5 - $42850.52 CAD

                            2 700 000 Yen - 2002 Grade 4.5 - $35598.89 CAD

                            2 980 000 Yen - 2002 Grade 4 - $39290.63 CAD

                            3 080 000 Yen - 2001 Grade 4.5 - $40609.11 CAD

If you can find an R34 GTR for 10 grand, that thing would be a GTT conversion, rusted to hell and back, with no engine lol.

                                Buy a 10K R34 if you'd like, just don't come back here to complain when it's a POS/never arrives.
