Hey everyone, sorry If this is posted in the wrong section, want people to see this and leave feedback. I just had my R32 GTR in for an out of province inspection in Invermere BC.
I have done all the necessary lighting work, headlights, corner lights, rear side markers, tail lights, and the vehicle is safe suspension and body wise, and PASSED a safety....... BUT, I get back to the shop where its being inspected, and the mechanic tells me that while he was on the phone finishing off the safety (a pass) when he mentioned the vehicle was a skyline, the person on the phone said they would have to have someone come down and inspect the vehicle further...... WHICH IS TOTAL BS.
So now Im worried, some inspection person is coming down from CVSE (Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement) this wednesday, and the mechanic said this guy is going to do a whole new safety, and go over my car really well, and like, REALLY, REALLY look at it. And is going to pay extra close attention to the lighting work I have done.
Has anyone had this happen to them ? Or is this even really allowed ? My mechanic told me as soon as he said skyline the guy on the phone said NOPE, cant put it through. LIKE F OFF.
WHAT IM WORRIED ABOUT
My seatbelts are NOT changed, still original from JAPAN
The tail lights have lenses SILICONED on, not actually changed out
My headlights arent mounted the greatest, which I will have to fix.
My EXHAUST is straight through, no baffles, but has a silencer.
And my passenger rim has a pretty bad dent/chunk missing from the tire.
Am I going to fail ? Please be honest, ive been working really hard on this car all winter trying to get it on the road, and im going to have some spunk monkey come in and tear all my work apart trying to find the smallest thing he can fail it for. thank you all for your feedback, positive or negative, I want to hear what you have to say !
