haha awesome stories guys.
I havn't really had any attitude from other car drivers, the usual 'you're driving on the wrong side of the car', 'oh you have an english car', 'nice car how much did you get it for?'. Im quite a laid back guy so im pretty friendly and will answer anybody's questions without getting fresh.
As for racing, no one has really tried to race me before, though there are some times when im driving and the guy in the lane beside me takes off hard only to realize i don't want to waste any gas. Im lucky in that respect. Either they're stupid or they realize what they're going against and would save face.
Just a question to you all. Is it just me or are the guys with the most riced out cars (Honda's with Ebay Pea shooters with F1 car wing) the cockiest guys around?

Ah....The good old ricer fly by they do... I always thought of ricers are people who want to mod their cars but dont really know how to do it or are unwilling to shell out big money for the proper mods so they go cheap and buy ebay fart cans, funny looking body kits and lame decals to give the appearance of custom fast tuner car. I guess they're just out to prove something, it usually takes one stomp on the gas pedal to silent their attitudes.

From the perspective of a non-Skyline driver on the roads of GVRD, here are a few all too common observations:
Typically get harassed once or twice a week by fartcan wielding Skyline owner trying to sound off his BOV at 6PSI. A dog whistle might produce a more menacing effect. I have no desire to drag race in rush hour traffic.
Aggressive stance (driver not car), with a "You know you should just back right up, this is a Japanese supercar, it has turbo and JDM!!!" look.
I do agree on the trucks, too many hillbillies that like to try to race in the middle of traffic (I get that all the time out here in Maple Ridge), but before you go hating on other brands/models of cars, realize there are just as many, if not more, noobtastic skyline drivers on the road. In particular, they are especially prevalent along the Richmond-New Westminster corridor. If you know a noob driving around like an idiot then slap them upside the head and I'll do the same on my side.

thats exactly what i think. ive met many skyline owners and most of the time they are retards. my car is going up for sale soon and i know chances are that its gonna end up being sold to some kid whos entire skyline knowledge has been learned from fast and the furious. but the skyline fanatics that you meet who actualy know there stuff make up for the noobs out there.WHEN MY TURBO'S GET SPOOLED, YOUR GONNA GET SCHOOLED(O▫O)______(O▫O)Originally posted by SnowJapanese boys remind me of my Skyline

the only reason why there would be more skyline owners who are idiots then not, is because they say F&F and there parents make to much money, they end up being spoiled little know-it-all kids. This happens with every car, take the honda civic for example.... quite a few nicely done ones out there, but there's alot more who are owned by idiots.

No, it has more to do with the fact that a GTS-T and even a not-so mint GTR are dirt cheap cars many kids can afford for a first car.
Unfortunately younger people think anything with a turbo = super car and they start driving like idiots. Its the Honda Civic syndrome all over again. Ironically enough here are two recent posts from another forum that perfectly illustrate that point. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with enjoying your car but you have to do it smartly.
I saw this behind me, this Grey GTR, was hauling ass on arthur laing going through the no 3 road exit and over steers into a ditch.
from what it looks like, the GTR driver turned into the corner going like 110ish and floored it after the apex and oversteered into the ditch and ripped it's front lip off.
anyone else see this maniac?
i'm sorry i was slow to post but it happened a week and a half ago.
I've seen a Grey GTR at Lougheed / Sperling ripping it with a left hand turn. I thought he's a good drifter, but turn out that he over spinned it and went tail-in the street on sperling. Blocked off traffic behind him and he laughed it off. Revved it at Chevron when he met his buddy (with another grey GTR).
I believe the GTR i saw is from the GTR store on Lougheed/holdom area. I made sure that I'll report him next time if i see something like this

Not that I've tried, but the AWD must have to be off for this to happen...

Heck, even my GTS-t takes a lot to lose it. Even after rain today it was still sticky with the new tires I have.Fraser Valley Imports

but there are for more teenagers with no regard for the road and how cars can be fatal at 10kmh, its a blanket statement yes, but it rings true for the majority...
it sucks being 18 i know, i was there once too, the only things you get out of being 18 is the ability to vote, be tried as an adult, and doing your taxes...
maybe if people regardless of there car and age drove responsibly there wouldnt be such a stigma about teens behind the wheel...
and yes its not just teens who do this but... the majority of the time it is...How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

I started driving my skyline wearing a baseball cap backwards, so if anyone sees a black GTST with a GTR front bumper in richmond and a clown driving with a backwards baseball cap, it's me, and I'm wearing it to keep the hair out of my eyes when the windows are open, not because I'm a punk
Also I think how you're driving has a lot to do with your mood. Some days I can be the most courteous driver you'll ever meet in my skyline, and sometimes other people driving gets to me and degrades my driving some.
However no matter what mood I'm in I make a point of signaling well before I make the actual turn or (especially) a lane change + a good old fashioned shoulder check. Too many times I see people just suddenly change lanes out of the blue with a single flash of the signal... that gets on my nerves the MOST. ugh... if you're someone who does that, in any car: please stop.
