My cousin bought a cavalier with bad coilpacks, and we were windin it over to see if it even kicked and thats all it would do, some dude just walks over to it, looks at the motor and says "its off its timing, the belt probably went" #1 its an ohv motor (pushrods) so no belts and second of all it was the coilpacks, took the ones of my sunfire and it fired right up, i ******* hate ppl that dont know **** and just look at something and say x thing is wrong with it.

Story- I was goin to dominos to see my friend we were gunna hang after work. so we were chattin cause he just got a new car, (alero got a steal ofa deal) and some guy starts chirpin up from out back with the old, that your skyliner out there? and here we go

Him: man thats a nice one, my friends does like a 7 second quarter mile.
Me: at this point i giggled to myelf and said fux it im not gunna argue. "sweet"
Him: Ya, i was gunna get one but i figured i would get something faster.
Me: o ya, what did you get?
Him: well i looked at a couple lancers and civics but i didnt get anything.

Him: well u can get more out of other cars for cheaper.

now at this point i was fed up and gunna just say ya, than came these words.

Me: well thats new to me and about 3 billion ther people, the skyline was in the top 10 supercars of all time and the money u would sink into a fast car you should sink into an apartment and i left,

i never mentioned that he is like 32 living with his mom working at a pizza place, and that was about 1 tenth of the whole convo, he tried to tell me how much he knows about skyliners and how mine is an awd and my frint wheel drive function isnt working and that mine is a twin turbo... its an 89 gtst. Today I happened to randomly notice a skyline on the lot of a dealership... I walk over and it's an impul 4 door. It had massively cracked bumpers, poorly painted/bodywork, no passenger side mirror, and a dent in the hood. I'm standing there Thinking this can't be worth much. So I walk into the showroom ask to take a look at it. The salesman grabs the keys we head back to the car. As we're heading back he tells me He's looking for 10 grand for it (I even saw it advertised on craigslist for 69xx). So I've now really lost any serious intrest i might have had. We get to the car he says "this is broken" boots the front bumper, "and there is no mirror." (NO ****) He tosses the keys to another salesman and walks away. I ask to pop the hood, the guy walks up to the passenger side door, unlocks it, and turns to me and says "Whoa, the steering wheel is on the wrong side". He then walks around the car, opens the driver side door asks me how to pop the hood. I go around and the hood release is stiff as **** (probably from the dent in the hood) I walk to the front, open the hood and this salesman looks right at the damn motor and asks me what kind of motor it has. After a breif chat of me explaining what motor it has I tell him that It's not worth anywhere near what they're asking and leave.

for one thing i dont give a **** if its cool, i bought it beacues i like it.
and second i got mine back when there was 1/8th of the RHD cars there are now lol.

My Professor/instructor at BCIT was give us a lecture on etiquette when dealing with customers cars and the legality of driving them around.

He briefly touched on a few main subjects and then jumped straight to RHD. He started saying," be very careful with cars that are RHD, the province of BC just passed a legislation that states every person who owns a RHD car MUST have a spot on there license that clearly states they are certified to drive, and ONLY those people who have been certified are allowed to drive them, it is usually indicated under the drivers picture"

At this point i have done about 4 face-palms, but keep my mouth shut, then he continous.

"As well, people who insure these cars are paying HUGE premium for the fact that they are substantially more dangerous than a LHD car. Also, when you go to insure these, they can only be registered as a collector vehicle, in which your limited in the amount of days your able to drive it. If you do not register it as a collector vehicle, the only other way it can be insured is if it is a commercial vehicle. So pay special attention to those laws."

Then he breaks for coffee. I walk out of the class, and EVERYONE in the class excluding one of my friends who also had a skyline come up to me and starting talking about how they heard that "new legislation" and that it must suck being stuck with a car that i cant insure.

EVEN PROFESSORS that are suppose to inform people with correct knowledge dont know Sh*t.
