Yeah, but now he's spreading BS and will continue to do so, affecting the image of RHD cars and their owners. I'd have the 1 on 1, then get him to correct himself to the class.

I completely agree with you. I would hope and also ask him to correct himself in front of the class. His intentions and portrayal of his "knowledge of RHD cars" was not slanderous in anyway, but I do agree that everyone should know the facts.

I am bringing my vehicle into the shop for some class activities before the olympic break and I figure that would be an appropriate time to notify him. We aren't at the point in our course where knowing the legality of RHD cars is relevant, but I will definitely inform him.

Today I happened to randomly notice a skyline on the lot of a dealership... I walk over and it's an impul 4 door. It had massively cracked bumpers, poorly painted/bodywork, no passenger side mirror, and a dent in the hood.

This post makes me sad. Poor Impul.

I found the craigslist post too. It says there's only 3 Impul's in canada, but there's at least 6. I personally know of two in Edmonton, there's a nice black one somewhere around Vancouver or Victoria, and I've heard of a couple more.

I wish I could find a Skyline like this (as long as the engine's good lol). I know you may think that sounds weird but I want a project car, and I love/miss doing body work. To bad dealers don't know what cars are really worth and always try to screw you.

Ive had numerous hondas try and race me, MR2-T's but the best was when a cop here in Calgary pulled me over. I was driving along Macleod Trail and they pulled me over pretty much just to talk about the car. I informed them of the 15 year old rule and the down sides of RHD (drive throughs, parellel parking etc.) and then they just left me alone. I just laughed it off, i dont mind talking to a cop if they are being civilized about things.

haha same happenned here in my buddies car when he had a gtst. we were going through road block (they were checking for drunk drivers). He stopped us and started talking to me while not looking at the car (im in what should be the drivers seat in Canada) and then he looked up and went whoa.. nice car haha and let us go.

I was heading out to Timmy's today with my friend in his T3/T4'd Civic. As he merges onto the main road, he floors it and shifts. This has a wide exhaust and a loud BOV. It also has illegally tinted front windows, is lowered, etc. It's a by-the-book cop magnet.
There just happens to be a marked CVPI behind him as he guns it. Luckily, the cop plays dumb and cruises by as we frantically roll the windows down.

lul, we're both noobs I suppose. Neither of us had any idea there was a CVPI directly behind us. Then again, I didn`t think he was going to punch it.

I've come to **** my pants when I see a vehicle inspector... more so than a cop actually.

And I'm not sure why. Probably because I imagine them profiling me like the police would. But if they ever stopped me I'd probably tell them to go inspect a truck with no brakes or something that will actually make a difference.

And then I would get a VI and inevitably a mass of troubles from the CVPI I just lipped off.
