I had a guy about two weeks ago telling me I must be retarded because I dont know what car im driving. He told me im driving an r34gtr and I told him hes wrong its an r33 gtr. Thats when he flips out telling me theres no such thing as an r33. I mean I know people dont like them but to completely not know them . Guy was driving a jdm 300zx so I was kinda surprised.

I hate the new STI's. Sucks cause I loved the older ones (05-ish era).

Around here it's always the same, Cavaliers, Neons, and Civics. Lookin over with that gangsta lean, reclined into the back seat and revvin at you.
I used to say...there's a track day this weekend, come on out and lets rip on em there. Shuts em up quick usually.
But...I don't even look anymore....tinted windows FTW.

One short story from a car show here...
I was parked beside 2 "Neons" at the show and noticed how one kinda looked like an SRT4 (my Mopar knowledge is limited, but I do know SRT's can be monsters). I just quickly asked "SRT4?", and the dude said "No, it has the SRT body kit, but it's just as fast as one though"
Ok I'll bite, Turbo kit? Has to be to match all the body mods, right?
Opens the hood and all I can see for "go" mods is a pretty set of red plug wires, an Ebay intake and a bunch of stickers. Then I see the tranny dipstick
I just say "nice" and keep on walkin...

so here in lethbridge, some car guys always hang out at the same spot, whatever, whatever.

i hang out there too with them, and most of them are american car guys and they always give me a hard time about how skylines are the like cavaliers and sunfires, they are everywhere.

I can't argue with him cause on a night we will see at least 3-4 skylines driving by.

anyway, im used to it all now and its all in good fun


but last night, these two brothers come up in there GTR and they both get out, checking my car out and ****. He asks me if its twin turbo, i say no. Hes like awwww no, we got a "b26" over there with a twin turbo setup. Now i wasn't sure what he was talking about cause he said "b26", i thought they put a honda engine in it. haha

I go check out his car. Sure as ****, its a gtr, stock. Pops the hood,the only mod i can see in the air filters. engine is pretty run down, so i ask how many km's are on it. they say about 27,000.

im like ********, so i peak inside and see thats its a nismo gauge cluster. Im like, you know thats not the stock gauge cluster right.

anyway. hes telling me i have NOOO chance against his car. (this is all his brother talking, the actual owner of the car isn't talking much) And the reason i have no chance is because he has a twin turbo while i have singe turbo.

Everytime he said that all i said was "it came from factory with twin turbo and you have a stock setup"


now i doubt i would beat him in a race, but im sure i would be pretty close to him after i get my injectors and finish up my tune

I just found it extremely funny about all the stuff he was talking about. He then proceeded to tell me about his 91 sunbird that he had.

oh no. they were brothers. his brother had the same attitude, all macho. He just didn't talk much.




On a side note. at a light today. guy is a truck next to me says " that thing have the rb38 or rb36". i don't even think about it and i say, its got the rb25, "rb25 ?" he replies with his thinking face. "yup".

then the light turns green and i go.

I've had older guys think Skylark when I say Skyline. But never had a younger guy say Skylark. lol
