  • This isn't really a n00b story.

I was actually impressed and it was a legit question. to me anyway

So i pull up at this light next to a native american in his truck.

He signals to roll down the window, i do, and the convo goes like this

Him "so when you put it in first, is it like the cars here, or it is the opposite"

Me "no man, its the exact same, its on the far left"

Him " sweet man, how about the clutch and gas?"

Me " its all the same".

    then the light turns green

then parking to go to work yesterday, i park next to a guy waiting for his wife and kid. My window was down cause its so nice out and he says

"is that one of those detachable steering wheels"

Me. *Pull steering wheei off* "sure is"

Him " guess nobody can steal your car then, eh?"

    Me "no, definitely not

i Haven't really encountered any nOOb people, but these legit questions make me happy

    • This hasnt happened.... Yet..... but i was day dreaming at work. and i just had the funniest thought ever.....

Cops sometimes go to the passenger side and start chewing out your friend for speeding or whatever, i was thinking if you have a removable steering wheel you could just be all like

"Well since he thinks your driving......" <take off steering wheel and hand to friend>

wonder what a cop would do.....

          false info....whaaat

can't the cop see that he clearly isn't the driver even though he is holding the steering wheel

          • Lol, I'm pretty sure you'd get away with it. Worst that would happen would be the cop would get a little bitchy cause you potentially made him look like an idiot. OPP likes to come up on the "passenger" side anyways, since it's safer for them. Less chance of getting hit by oncoming traffic.

            • I had some dumbass in an X5 trying to race me up Johnson hill. Then a Civic joined in on the fun. So I didn't do anything, and they raced each other....

Right past a police station haha.

downshift, then do the three honks. on the third honk, put it back into 4th or whatever and just drive normally as they rocket away :P

                  • Not much to say. Made the first oil change on the ol BNR32 with GTRADDICT, let him drive for his help. White new gen STi that was coming in opposite to us turned right in a road, followed by us. I guess the driver or passenger noticed the bit**in' Gunmetal R32 is his rear view, pressed the gas 3 times and we let him go off fullpinned. Obviously GTRADDICT, very controlled with his emotions , knew who was the real winner (and who owned the car) so he just pinched the gas a bit when the STi was out of sight, for hoots.

Wonder who would'of won? Apart from my RS*R turboback and Kakimoto exhaust, I'm running stock.

I dunno, It's hard to explain how I feel about people over here and their tastes in cars. It's hard to explain why I've been seeing a PONTIAC G5 with a DODGE RAM on this trunk in the neighborhood. Even more so to explain why people with rusting cars and decals all over drive by my Skyline or Sentra chin high. What's more, local people actually admire more decalled POSes than clean cars! And why do they have to be so assinine about it!?

                    • Are you looking for attention? If so, a Sentra or Skyline won't do it. A Skyline, maybe..5 years ago when they were all the rage with fanboys. Skylines blend in pretty well.

Far from it, I'm way too shy for that, I'd just like to get respect for keeping my cars clean and tasteful with sleeper undertones (I say undertones because I'm running the 1.8L in the sentra as a DD). But over here tastes are way different, I find. Maybe it's like this everywhere? Keep in mind, NB's pop is pretty scarce compared to central and western Canada. I think I'm the only GTR in the North-Eastern quadrant of NB lol. There was one before me, but It was sold and it's now in NS, the new owner is trying to flip it on Kijiji.

Edit: I just hate how some beautiful cars get unoticed and shrugged over civics and etc. It's not just about me, It's about the cars I have respect for too.

Around here, turbo is like aids in the 70's. No one knows what it does and what its for. It's like Hazzard County (Dukes or hazzard).... Everything moves a bit slower.
