Your ECU is most likely not the problem. ECU's rarely are actually faulty, they are usually replaced from poor diagnosis. Use the procedures in the repair manual to test the Cam angle sensor“Hey, come on, its a car right? No. It’s a symbol of your history, its a thread of continuity from which you came to where you are. It’s important that you don’t want to forget who you are.” -Dr.Phil in "Love the Beast"

Well.. problem still persists. going to ground ignitor and wiring harness directly to the battery and going to swap the coilpack on cyl 4. Currently, i have no idea what to do. I am just reading over replies and trying whatever i can... help is appreciated, updated thread as well.1989 GTR - summer toy

I think my TPS has issues because somedays ill barely touch the pedal and itll go from "bogging" to pulling and accelerating, just by the tiniest little touch of the pedal. But it doesnt do that much so i never thought of it to be an issue
Edit: Swapped 4th coilpack, grounded harness and ignitor directly to the battery, and run that hanging ground wire to one of the allen bolts for the cover.. took it for a 20 minute drive, still think i hear random misses but it didnt have a cylinder shut down completely like before so i guess i will see what happens tomorrow, hopefully one of those things fixed it, btw does anyone know where that ground wire i found goes?Last edited by evolution23; 06-26-2011, 11:09 PM.1989 GTR - summer toy
