JDM now banned in Quebec for the next 180days!

guys i honestly don't think we have to worry... if they do a FAIR study they will realize that there is no danger in a RHD vehicle... and if they say it is un-safe then they are lieing and there must be some sort of legal action that could be taken is there not? because as we all know RHD is no more un-safe than LHD so if they say it is and we all come out and prove it IS NOT (may it be through testing even using their test we all know we could do them in our RHD) then it will prove to every1 that the government is being un-lawfull and outright lieing to all its citizens. They can't ban RHD just because they say it is bad plain and simple and the only way they can prove RHD "un-safe" in their tests is if they do their tests wrong. Any1 w/ experience driving RHD and the confidence that they can do just as good in one should volunteer to do the driving for the RHD in this so called "study" they are doing and prove to them that if u have half a brain u can drive it just fine.

If the government was about fair there wouldn't be a 15 year rule. People in government lie all the time, they're constantly hiding their mistakes and are never accountable. This decision is completely unacceptable. They've given no notice and have had 5+ years to look into this phenomenon already. If we wait and see what happens it will end in the worst kind of way, we have to be active and do whatever we can to get that 180 day ban lifted as soon as possible. They are in service to their people, this kind of treatment cannot be tolerated.

that being said i need to bring up a very important point....

we are citizens of canada and quebec, we have RIGHTS to not have some BS law slipped in at the last minute, without any notice or warning, this is absolutley terrible.

im so terrified that when i drive my car tonight, a cop pulls me over and says to me, "you need to go for vehicle inspection" with out reason... and then im basically finished, my car which i have invested almost $20,000 into is now worthless! how is this fair?

try to imagine this, the damage this is going to cause?! all of us who have bought these cars and invested thousands into them suddenly we cant drive them anymore? all it takes is ONE cop to pull you over and i can promise you'll be sent for "inspection" which is basically condemning your car to the end of the road...it doesnt matter if you drive properly or not, they can pull you over to just "check your papers" and say "btw... go for inspection"

IM SO MAD RIGHT NOW ABOUT THIS!! this is a violation of our rights regardless of what rights they are, you cant just BAN vehicles like this,

\how about those millions of dollars worth of cars in shipping containers rigfht now?? they will be worthless... 100% worthless

and the people who have bought their cars and havent inspected yet... all worthless.


can you imagine if for example the gouvernment out of no where decided to ban something like oh i dono say TV's from Japan, oh but dont worry, the tv's that are alrdy here can stay! people would be outraged... just as we are

how can they possibly complain that JDM cars are the problem?! 95 percent of people in quebec are useless drivers who take off before the light turns green, dont use turn signals, and turn accross incoming traffic 2 feet away from them.

hey guys, not saying that anybody here would be an idiot but im pissed so it's hard for me not to yell too, but if you're going to write to the people at the SAAQ or wherever make sure you use complete sentences and put together a good argument lol. so if this is just a test for 180 days... wouldn't you think the outcome of this decision will decide everything else that has to do with RHD? if they don't discontinue importing, that means they're ok to drive -- and that decision is based on "safety" -- and therefore insurance can no longer screw us, police can't give us **** etc etc am I right or what? but the other outcome suggests that it will be ten times more difficult to obtain this fairness that we seek already.

basically, this is obviously a mercy kill, giving us 180 says of notice that our cars are going to be banned permanently. yes, first quebec, second the rest of canada. you really think they're going to be fair about this? no.
