For the ontario guys,

Assuming you needed an appraisal value before getting insurance, what did your gtr's get appraised at? R32 or R33.

It all depends on what has been done to it. The appraiser will look at it and decide what it's worth. I'm sure appraisals can range from $10,000-$25,000.

Well i've given them a purchase price and I assume the appraisal won't exceed that. If it involves them paying, I would assume based on their sheistyness that I would get a very low appraisal value.

I hope the fact that parts will need to come from Japan won't have an ill effect on it. Sure i'll be able to get all the parts I need from here but their mechanics won't be on GTRC trying to find parts to fix my car in the case of an accident

The appraisal company isn't the one who has the mechanics. If it's in a collision then the body shop would be the one to have to fix it. We can get any new body part for the Skyline, it's not a problem.
The appraiser and the insurance companies are two separate things. The appraiser would look at the car and decide it's value. It's not based on the purchase price. Then you would give the insurance company your appraisal.

I had my ride done there and it's a detailed appraisal / insurance company was happy with it.
