  • Eber's Dyno Vids & Pics

Got some pics and videos from Eber's first dyno session this week! We ran short of time and didn't get a chance to finish dialing in the cam gears and tuning out all of the turbo shuffle, but we did get in several consistent power pulls.

At Eber's request, power numbers will be posted once the tuning is finished (hopefully later this week)!

Of course, being a particularly ignorant GT-R, the car decided to suddenly snap a CAS shaft while idling between runs, so we got held up a little while we diagnosed that and waited for a spare sensor.

For those interested, the car features a Ztune built & balanced long block, .5mm over-bore, Wiseco pistons, Eagle rods, N1 pump with modified crank & JUN oil collar, ported heads, twin Garrett GT2860 -10 turbos, RC 750cc injectors, Cam Gears, Power FC d-jetro, and a few other goodies!

Here are videos of a few of the runs!

    Run 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-itNGF-Ds8
    Run 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl5xqPobnGw
    Run 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SexfQL47qI

I'm sure Eber will have a lot more information to share once the tuning is complete!

No, not on this car, Eber bought it with the turbos. Our fabricator has been closely eyeing it though. It's a nice clean setup!

thanks for posting the vids mike.. I will try to get a couple pics of some of the crazy custome work that has been done to the car in a little bit but the #'s as of yet are a little low........for now.. It hin we figured out the problem and hopefully it will hit much higher later this week. All i can say is that this car will be very badass when its done. There is another little kick to be added in the trunk to spool those bitches if lag is a problem.

Haha...when you consider the fact that we will make much better power at the current boost level, and the fact that the current boost level is half of what the engine/turbos are built for...some big numbers lie close at hand

Your biggest limiting factor will be the 750cc injectors.

Another member's GTR was running 700cc sards, and ran out of fuel at 530awhp.. and that was at 99% duty cycle.

May want to look into getting larger ones if you want to hit the magic 600.

What size dumps, downpipe and exhaust are you running? And how large is your intercooler?

That may be true, I have 700cc injectors, and I use up to 90% duty at full throttle/redline. And I only put down around 420ps.

It is known that those injectors will be the limiting factor and then fuel delivery (Pump). I don't want to sound negative but I highly doubt you will make 600 AWHP on 750CC injectors.

Lol, well, it's not really negative when you just comment on a random HP number someone picked out of the sky. I'd be curious to see what you run on that dyno...wish you would have given it a go when you came to the dyno day!

Yes, injector size is one factor in fuel delivery and use. Fuel pressure, cam timing, compression ratio...all affect fuel requirements. There are many ways to lower injector duty cycle, including water/meth injection.

As with many project cars, Eber has done a bunch of stuff, and he has a bunch more stuff in mind, including cams and...something in the trunk that helps spool...?
