It goes alot deeper than a horsepower pissing match when your talking about 1/4 mile time's. this car has an upgraded gear box, drag slicks, and the number one thing is a driver with the balls do dump it on a regular basis and get used to the vehicle. 500+whp doesn't always mean fast 1/4 times

it says in the build thread the guy was making 632Originally posted by falcon View PostWhy? It was running the same turbos, tomei cams and was only limited to 575AWHP by the size of the injectors.
It's was the highest HP GTR on the west coast (and one of the top across Canada) until the new owner blew the engine.
I'm curious to see what the AWHP rating on that GTR in the video is to make a comparison.
I'm not saying it wasn't powerful, but there are WAY more things than power to the equation. And I know Andrew offered to strap it up to RG's dyno but he never would. I would have loved to see a number on that dyno just to compare it to what we have around here.
And having owned that GTR before he did, I know a bit about the car.
It would have been nice to see it either on the dyno or on the track at least once.
I think it was 632 it said in the thread.Originally posted by DJ View PostI belive he's making 6xxwhp + at the wheels if I remember correctly

I was talking about Zulu's carOriginally posted by falcon View PostWell so far it's the fastest "Canadian" GTR, which is something pretty cool since not everyone does big builds over hear as much as the europeans/aussies.
But I know there are a few other "street" GTR's that are just as fast if not faster.1990 Skyline GT-R - Jet Silver Metallic
It'll run someday

No offense, but owning that car prior to Dan means absolutely nothing. The entire engine bay, suspension, diffs etc was changed.
The reason Dan didn't feel like dynoing it is he already had numbers from XS's dyno and didn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. He was happy with it and that's what matters.
But I do know he regrets not slapping slicks on it for a trip down the track.
632AWHP? If so, anyone know the boost levels and injector size?

oh..Originally posted by tokes View PostI was talking about Zulu's car
well in that case... for the most part there is no other fully built GTR's out here so it's all we know. And putting out 700+ fwHP reliably is no small feat.
When the guys at XS compliment you on the build quality and are shocked to know two relatively inexperienced 20 year olds built it themselves (not throwing money at a shop to do it for you), that makes you happy..

Well of course all that matters is that he enjoyed it.Originally posted by falcon View PostNo offense, but owning that car prior to Dan means absolutely nothing. The entire engine bay, suspension, diffs etc was changed.

I know a fair bit about that car, although a lot was changed, a lot was still the same (i looked when i saw it for the first time again).
The trans would have been the weak point with that car, I know with that kind of power on slicks a stock transmission wouldn't last too long.
It would have been nice to see how it stacked up to the cars around here though

That's why the only way to truly compare numbers is ruinning both cars on thesame dyno. Otherwise you'll never truley knowOriginally posted by falcon View PostIt's tough to make a comparison since he is a 2.8L stroked engine and his dyno numbers are in RWD. Less drivetrain loss over AWD.
I'd love to get into the 9's with a GTR...One day maybe lol
Looks like a wild ride!
