Bringing this back from the dead. Only received the engine from them recently so I'm still going over everything. No part number on the damper but was purchased through this group buy.
2 of us from the group buy, who purchased the ATI race damper, purchased belts (different companies) which were sized according to the ATI site/part number and confirmed on other forumes. They say the Fan belt is OEM and that the PS is 10% underdrive which is 10mm smaller.
RB26 R32 OEM belt sizes are:
Fan belt: 880mm 4 rib
PS belt 950mm 4 rib
Problem is, the PS is too short when using the 10mm smaller (940mm) and perfect with 950mm. When using the 880mm fan belt, it's way too big...
What did everyone else do? I ordered kevlar belts which are a month wait and are now incorrect. Thanks.
Edit: There is no part number on the damper so I can't even tell if they gave us R33/R34 ones accidently. Doesn't really matter if I need to reorder belts and delay another month before driving but is there an offset issue now? I'm not looking to bust belts at high speeds on a heavy car like the gtr.Last edited by Bruizer; 04-16-2011, 03:25 PM.No build thread.
