Built R32 Transmission(1-5 Os Giken gear set)

So....for the whole package, that's a 1-5 OS geared tranny, Hollinger input, billet midplate (?) with only 1200kms on it and a freshened transfer case(?) that doesn't need a push/pull conversion for $4000?


Hmmmm.....I'll start thinking about it again (unfortunately there will be about $800 in shipping on top of that)........

He's like me, hard core, believe me if it didn't mean getting a divorce I would have had an OS88 or a Liberty's Gears box by now. I think I can sell a few things and lessen the blow of spending almost half of what I paid for the car in the first place on just a transmission to the Minister of Finance. All I need to argue is that if the trans let go in her Mazda 5 it would cost about the same to replace.

And yes, something that heavy and akward will cost a heap to ship from TO to almost Vancouver........I'm still thinking.......

Dunno how I missed this lol if you have Holinger money, why buy an old R32 and not something NUTS like an Aplha R35? lol you're nuts.

I'm changing to a Holinger sequential, which as you probably know cost a fortune and yes probably is also a waste of money.

Anyway, I'm gonna sit on my hands for now, see what happens. Hopefully it sells. I have bad luck with used parts (no offence, it's me, not you) . i'd hate to miss out on a new PPG set when I find the right price

The way I see it buying an OS88 or Holinger sequential is an investment, lol a dumb one obviously but I noticed these boxes hold great resale value. I've been waiting years for them to drop to a reasonable price but they still have not.

If you get a good deal on a Holinger sequential for like $12,000 you would probably still be able to sell it for $10,000 2 years from now. This is still a bad way to look at things but at least helps me justify spending so much on a car part.

Plus maintenance on these is pricey.

if your serious and we get a few other COMMITTED buyers i might be interested. I will be hitting the track in two weeks trying to make a few 10 second passes and i know my stock gear box wont handle too many 8k launches. ive been looking for a viable tranny for a while and all my research points towards ppg.... id be interested to atleast entertain some possibilities
