So i have a 1990 s-10 thats been sitting in the yard for a couple years now, has a 4cyl 4 speed manual transmission, 2wd, etc.. anyways i was wondering if anyone knows what kind of complications i would run into with dropping a rb20det in it?
I would need the complete engine, transmission and ecu. need to get the drive shaft probably shortened (need skyline rear end as well or s-10 will do?) Might be a bit tricky to get the engine in place where the transmission meets up properly inside the truck but once that was all in place and i started connecting everything connecting the wires shouldnt be too much of a problem, its things like the clutch and brakes that im wondering about. the truck does not have power steering or a/c so im not so worried about that but with it being set up as a rhd and putting it in a lhd my clutch and brakes are going to be on the other side. Im sure there are more complications as well so if anyone could give me a general understanding of things i would run into if i decided to put an rb20det in my little s10 that'd be great.
This is still just a thought so any input is appreciated.
