Thats the main thing right there. You will probably have a better tune if your using a system your tuner is comfortable with. And from what I've read, the AEM is every bit as good as the ViPEC, unless you don't know how to work with it. In which case your screwed haha.

So having some one who can flawlessly tune a PFC is better than having a decently tuned VIPEC?

And does anyone have a good recommendation for a single turbo for power around 600WHP. I read JD's thread but his turbos weren't really what I was looking for

Vipec will better hande the biger injectors and will out tune a PFC. Plus Cam is close to you.
Turbo take serious look at a GT4088R. Plus change your final drive ratio. Look at Super_Dudes build. Break in tune is 480 at 14 lbs. The graph is very close to a -5 car. But has more potential.
            You can't fix stupid.

I'm shooting for between 500-600whp also, and I went with the GT4088 twinscroll.

I think the GT4088R twin scroll turbos are pretty pricey for what you get.... I paid just over 900 bucks shipped to my door for an SC6262S, the 6265 and 6765 were only a little bit more.

I got mine with used housings (inspected by garrett, ceramic coated exhaust), with a new dual BB cartridge for 1400 US.
I probably would have gotten something else, but the price was good.

What trim and A/R did you end up going with? Or what trim and A/R could someone recomend to me based on my desires for this car?

There's only one trim of GT4088R available. I wouldn't run anything smaller than the 1.10 A/R on a 4088R. Just like a .82 A/R T3 housing flows significantly less than a .81 A/R t4 housing, the GT4088R housing seems to require a larger A/R ratio to perform well on an RB26.

To make 600 WHP an SC6265 with a .81 A/R T4 exhaust housing would be about perfectly suited to your goals, imo

Thanks tokes. This is not the first time you have provided me with some great information. As for this turbo your recommending, is there anywhere in town that can order them or is it a purchase that I myself must go out and seek. I only ask becuase I'm not much of a "order from a website guy" been burned a few times so i like my dealings in person... Also what about the 6765? Little overkill?

Edit: after some googling i could only find the 6265 in a T3, to get the T4 required the 6765

Another Edit: This turbo is basically only on Evos and Buicks. Mind you the turbos have incredible reputation in these crowds and have posted some highly respectable numbers... would like to hear see some results of your turbo tokes.

Unfortunately mine is going to be going on a Honda :P

I bought it off a reputable ebay seller, haven't had an issue, but I can totally understand why you'd be gunshy about it. I'm not sure if there are any PTE dealers in Alberta to be honest. But call them up yourself, I know for a FACT the SC6265 is available with a T4 housing.

I do think the 6765 is a bit overkill, but honestly it wouldn't be TOO bad. I'm just looking at Evo's that have made 800 or more at the wheels with the 62's, and 900+ on a T3 6765, and thinking that a 62 will give you everything you need, and then some, even in the future.

Nothing too fancy, it's a DOHC ZC with eagle rods and SRP pistons, ported head, delta cams, ACT XTSS? (can't even remember the exact model) clutch, neptune RTP, full race traction bars, k-sport kontrol pro coilovers, fullblown motorsports dual walbros, 1000cc injectors, etc, etc.

Looking for 350-400 on pump gas and 500+ on race gas with the 6262, then if I don't like what it does I've got a B18B sitting around to build up, along with a really worked over heagames B16 head (+1mm valves, skunk2 pro2 cams, ferra springs and retainers I believe, some kind of cam gears, etc)

Nice...then you'll be destroying 600whp Skylines on the highway.
I'm gonna be shooting for probably around 375whp in the next couple weeks with the GSR Hatch. Once I get the motor back and chuck it together.
